The duo has played together locally since 1995, originally known as Happy Endings, a band later rechristened the Esthas. As The Touchies, the group was nominated in 2011 for a San Diego Music Award. The bill includes Go Scarlet (a North County all-female alternative/indie rock band formed in 2022) and L.A. punk trio The Manic Standstill, which features Adam Bones of Two Tens and touring guitarist for Go Betty Go.

Euphoria Brass Band at California Center For the Arts Escondido

October 3

Euphoria Brass Band is an award winning, critically acclaimed seven-to-eight piece group founded in 2011 by longtime New Orleans residents David Bandrowski (banjo/guitar) and Ron Bocian (snare drum), who both now call San Diego home. Playing a mix of New Orleans infused brass band jazz, funky street beats, and new school edginess with a West Coast vibe, they gig frequently at club and restaurant dates, festivals such as Gator by the Bay and Fiesta Del Sol, corporate functions and weddings, and even the occasional funeral. In concert, as well as on their debut full-length Coast To Coast, the setlist is usually a mix of traditional New Orleans jazz tunes, funky contemporary tracks, and a sprinkling of inventive originals. For this Escondido performance, the group will be accompanied by singer Rey Wolf.

The Dragonfly Festival at the Bornemann

Kicking off at Noon on the TERI Campus Of Life in San Marcos and open to all ages, The Dragonfly Festival will feature an array of local vendors, as well as two outdoor stages offering continuous live music of various genres, including West African percussion, Celtic, rockabilly, and rock and roll. Among the locals slated to appear are Tri-City Rollers featuring Stevie Salas, a locally bred guitar icon who has played with everyone from Rod Stewart and Mick Jagger to MC5 mainman Wayne Kramer and Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top. Co-presented by Six String Society, the bill also includes Canadian family band Daring Greatly, Americana roots rockers the Sleepwalkers, percussionist bandleader Monette Marino, blues-jazz singer Mercedes Moore, rockabilly-blues-funk band the Sea Monks, and Ass Pocket Whiskey Fellas performing Irish traditional and rock music.
