John Katchur became a notable force on the San Diego singer/songwriter scene in the early 1990s, winning a San Diego Music Award for Best Acoustic Artist. His collaborations and work with local artists include Jewel, Steve Poltz, Gregory Page, Lisa Sanders, and Dave Howard. He’s known for his mastery on the acoustic guitar and intense delivery. His music ranges widely in genre but is distinct in style, merging acoustic/songwriter sensibilities with eclectic textures of various styles. The bill is headlined by Jeff Berkley of local folk duo Berkley Hart.

Todo Mundo at Mission Bay Resort

Reggae/Latin/acoustic group Todo Mundo was founded in Argentina in 2009 by Bogotá, Colombia native Santiago Orozco, before Orozco relocated to San Diego. They first earned local notice when their Organic Fire album won Best World Music Album at the 2011 San Diego Music Awards. They have since won Best World Music at the 2014 SDMAs and gone on to become a staple of the Southern California concert circuit.

Singer Scott Russo is best known from his long stint with Unwritten Law, which formed in Poway in 1990. He appears on their best-known albums such as Elva, Music in High Places, and Here's to the Mourning. He also has a song in the film Coyote Ugly (in which he also appears), and is currently performing with a solo backing band. The bill includes emo star Adrian Estrella of Zebrahead and Assuming We Survive.

Moondaddy is a dream pop quintet founded in 2020 by singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Cara Potiker. Their debut Poet Lies landed them a slot on DeVotchKa’s sold-out West Coast tour, plus they opened for Cryogeyser and Peel Dream Magazine, and played a sold-out 2700-person show opening for Beabadoobie at Soma. A recent EP called Lightwave Lightwave was co-produced by Manuel Calderon (Animal Collective, Beach House) and mastered/cut from the tapes to a lacquer by Paul Gold (Grizzly Bear, Animal Collective), with its lead single "Conquer Me" earning substantial airplay and streams. The show is headlined by touring headliner King Hannah, a Liverpool-based indie rock duo.

Carina’s Listening Lounge is launching a new monthly House Concert Series with a performance by acoustic troubadour Mark Montijo, whose 2024 album If I Get To Heaven was nominated Best Local Album (all Genres) by the San Diego Music Foundation. The May 4 bill includes musical duo Stucky Leigh (Will Stucky and Lauren Leigh), and upcoming concerts in the series include the Astra Kelly Trio (June 8), Alex Bergen & Jesse Ray Smith (July 13), and Lee Coulter (August 3).
