“Each project is a harmonious blend of melody and form, weaving together my musical intuition with a keen eye for design,” says singer-guitarist David Shyde, who blends Brazilian bossa nova with rock and blues, all with a nod toward his background career in design. He grew up immersed in the rich musical and colorful traditions of Brazil. In addition to his native music, he was also absorbed in the edgy artistry of Buddy Guy, Mr. BIG, ACDC, Metallica, Joe Satriani and Led Zeppelin. He sings blues and rock, while maintaining a fond appreciation of Brazilian samba and Bossa Nova.
