Ringo Starr & His All Starr Band
Onetime Beatles drummer Ringo Starr may have only performed once in San Diego with his three former bandmates (August 28, 1965), but he has brought his All-Starr Band to town over two dozen times now. Of course the fun thing about a Ringo concert is that you get a jukebox full of hits by each of the featured guest players, as well as the expected Beatles and solo Starr selections. Various iterations of the All-Starrs have been touring for several years. This edition of Ringo’s merry band features Steve Lukather (Toto), Colin Hay (Men At Work), Warren Ham (Ham Brothers), Hamish Stuart (Paul McCartney, AWB), Gregg Bissonette (David Lee Roth’s band) and Buck Johnson (Joe Perry Project). You can expect Lukather to head up “Rosanna,” “Africa,” and “Hold the Line,” and Hamish Stuart will be breaking out Average White Band hits like “Pick Up the Pieces” and “Cut the Cake,” with everyone joining Starr for evergreen classics such as “Yellow Submarine,” “Octopus's Garden,” “With a Little Help From My Friends,” and “I Wanna Be Your Man.” If you miss the Pechanga date, Starr will be appearing the following night on May 29 at Humphreys By the Bay on Shelter Island, almost certainly with a nearly identical show.

Fiesta del Sol's 45th annual beachfront celebration brings a weekend of music, food, and sunny fun to Solana Beach. This free festival includes family-friendly activities, including bounce houses, games, and live performances for kids starting Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with Hullabaloo, a local children’s music folk duo. The group has won major national awards, including Parents Choice and NAPPA Gold, plus inclusion on Best of the Year lists from Parents Magazine and Education.com. Attendees can also enjoy local food vendors, an arts and craft village, an array of drink selections, and VIP passes for exclusive viewing areas and private bars. Kick off Sunday morning with the Pancake Breakfast fundraiser benefiting the Solana Beach Firefighters, happening from 7:30–10:30 a.m. The music lineup on Saturday, May 30 includes The English Beat, Common Sense, The fABBA Show, The Pine Mountain Logs, Atomic Groove, local 10-piece collective Sullvn (fronted by Robert “Sully” Sullivan), and Jessie Lark, known for her many appearances singing “The Star-Spangled Banner” at Padres and Chargers games. Sunday’s bill features Los Lobos, The McCharmlys, Seapoodle, Cody Carter, Grateful Dead tribute Easy Wind, and country cover band The Morgan Wallen Experience.

Seahaven
Blending indie rock and post-hardcore, Seahaven is known for creating cinematic soundscapes with emotional and melodic indie-pop elements, highlighted by vocalist Kyle Soto’s expressive, vulnerable lyric writing. Initially part of the early 2010s emo/post-hardcore scene with records like 2011’s emo staple Winter Forever, the band shifted toward a more atmospheric, melodic sound with 2014’s more experimental album Reverie Lagoon: Music For Escapism Only. 2020’s Halo of Hurt marked their return from a hiatus, blending the intensity of their earlier work with the atmosphere of later recordings. A self-titled follow-up to that record drops June 5 via Pure Noise Records, preceded so far by singles for “Midnight Hour,” “February Flowers,” and “Infinite Blue.” The first date of Seahaven’s support tour for the album includes Phoenix-based indie-pop/rock band Breakup Shoes, known for popular tracks like “Unrequited Love (& Other Clichés)” and “Nicotine Dream.” Opening the Midway District show will be Richmond, Virginia group House & Home, who blend elements of 1990s alternative rock with modern emo and post-hardcore.
