Led by co-founder and vocalist Amy Lee, Evanescence blends heavy alternative and gothic metal with theatrical, operatic soprano vocals and classical piano. Their debut 2003 album Fallen sold over 17 million copies worldwide, won two Grammy Awards (including Best New Artist), and spent over 100 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart. Among its singles to chart globally were “Bring Me To Life” and “My Immortal,” and their atmospheric songs have also appeared in video game and anime soundtracks. Their discography includes orchestral projects like Synthesis (2017) and heavy studio albums such as 2021’s The Bitter Truth, and a new 2026 full-length called Sanctuary that dropped in June. The Chula Vista bill includes progressive metalcore band Spiritbox, who first earned widespread notice for their 2020 single “Holy Roller” and their debut studio album Eternal Blue. They’ve received Grammy nominations for Best Metal Performance for the past three consecutive years. Also appearing will be British rock duo Nova Twins.

Holo Holo Music Festival
Deeply rooted in island culture, the Holo Holo Music Festival is back downtown with another Polynesian-inspired cultural experience featuring live reggae and island music, cultural dances and luaus, and more. Attendees can sample a variety of authentic island-style food vendors, browse Polynesian artisan and craft booths, or just relax on the lawn with friends and family. With the festival kicking off at noon, performers include headliners The Green, whose 2010 self-titled debut spent a record 69 consecutive weeks on the Billboard Reggae Charts and won iTunes' Best Reggae Album of the Year award. Subsequent albums like Ways & Means and Marching Orders have topped the Billboard Reggae Album chart. Hailing from Oahu, Hawaii, they’re known for featuring four lead vocalists in dub-heavy roots reggae performances that incorporate elements of contemporary pop and jam band rock. Also appearing is local female-fronted pop reggae act Hirie, who were nominated for Best World Music at the 2013 San Diego Music Awards. Their sophomore album Wandering Soul debuted at number one on the iTunes Reggae Chart and climbed as high as number 39 overall on iTunes. Their newest album Phases recently spawned a single and music video for the track “Nobody Wins.” Other performers slated to perform include High Watah, Ekolu, Natural Vibrations, Wavvy, and Pau Hana.

British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran emerged as the epitome of the contemporary music star, blending acoustic pop, folk, and hip-hop into a radio friendly and audience pleasing confection. Among his hit songs, “Shape Of You” became the most streamed Spotify song in the site’s history, “Thinking Out Loud” won two Grammy awards, “Perfect” landed on countless wedding playlists, and tracks such as “Bad Habits,” “Shivers,” and his breakout single “The A Team” topped pop and dance charts all over the world. Aside from his own hits, he has also penned successful songs for other artists, including “Love Yourself” for Justin Bieber, “Little Things” for One Direction, and “Make It Right” for BTS, as well as co-writing (and appearing on) Taylor Swift’s “Everything Has Changed” and The Weeknd’s “Dark Times.” He released a new track in May, a collaboration with Dutch DJ and producer Martin Garrix called “Repeat It,” and he’s supporting his recent eighth studio album Play with this East Village stop on his Loop Tour.
