Dark electronic pop band Le Chateau features Frank Green and Erik Visnyak of Hotel St. George, alongside Laura Levenhagen (Twin Ritual). For this City Heights show, the band returns to the stage for their first full headline set since 2019 (following a short performance last December at SoNo Fest). The group has been nominated for multiple San Diego Music Awards, and their sound blends dark dream pop with hip-hop beats, atmospheric guitars and synths, and folk-inspired vocals. They have a new album called Future Phantom, recorded with Mike Kamoo and Keith Milgaten, as well as a recently-released single called “Therapy.”

R&B/jazz vocalist Rebecca Jade was the singer for Super Magnetic when that band won the 2010 Ultimate Music Challenge at Viejas Casino. She released her debut album The Jade Element in July 2011, before forming Rebecca Jade & the Cold Fact in 2013, featuring at various times local all-star players like Alfred Howard and DJ Greyboy. Nationally known for working and touring with jazz icon Dave Koz, she’s the winner of several San Diego Music Awards, including for Best R&B, Funk or Soul Song, and for Best Video.

Guitarist Alex Ciavarelli holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from San Diego State University. His debut album, A Tribute To Oscar Peterson On Guitar, was released last year, featuring Peterson’s music adapted for jazz guitar. He has toured throughout the U.S. performing in straight ahead jazz and gypsy jazz ensembles. Among his influences, he cites Joe Pass, Andreas Oberg, Oscar Peterson, Pat Martino, and George Benson.

Country-folk singer-songwriter John Meeks writes all the music and heads up the band that bears his name. He has also played with Plural and with Jimmy Lavalle from the Album Leaf. A debut three-song solo demo was recorded in 2008 by Pall Jenkins. In 2010, he released Old Blood, which won Best Americana Album at that year’s San Diego Music Awards. His fourth full-length, On A Sea Darkly, is a collaborative rock effort, featuring members of the Locust, the Album Leaf, Black Heart Procession, Three Mile Pilot, and Mr. Tube & the Flying Objects. The show is headlined by local singer-songwriter Ryan Blue and his band The Bis, with an opening set from Poor Thing.

Singer-songwriter Danielle Angeloni received a scholarship to study vocal performance, songwriting, and music therapy at Berklee College of Music where she graduated cum laude in 2015. She released a new single last year, "Dancing With the Dark." When she isn't writing or performing, she works as a board-certified music therapist serving children with neurodevelopmental differences, as well as hosting music therapy groups for professionals and educators.
