Shone (who launched an audio gear company called Drone Machines in 2022) won Best Hard Rock Album at the 2013 San Diego Music Awards for his Author & Punisher EP Women & Children. The Little Italy bill includes Portland, OR heavy metal rapper King Yosef, who first earned attention as a producer for hip-hop artists like XXXTentacion and Ski Mask the Slump God before launching his solo career in 2017.

Quel Bordel at the Holding Company
November 15
Quel Bordel were founded when a Ukrainian gypsy named Jakovich Skolnick (BandapArt, the Plastic Revolution) met classical violinist Regina Brown (Nervous Wreckords, Rihanna) on a French Caribbean cruise line. Beginning in 2013 with a year-long residency headlining Gaslamp venue Jimmy Love’s, the band moved on to headline gigs at the Casbah, the Holding Company, and the House of Blues mainstage. Within a couple of years, they were regularly booking international tours and appearing at music festivals around the world, including Get Shamrocked, and across the U.S. They describe their style as "world punk," a fusion of diverse musical influences with theatrical energy, combining gypsy-inspired sounds with the aggression of Celtic punk rock. Their music features surging guitars, exotic violin, pounding drums, and rousing, shout-along choruses. During the pandemic, they also ventured into instrumental gypsy jazz with an album called Dinner For Derelicts, featuring five cover songs and five originals.
