The Danny Green Trio with Justin Grinnell and Julien Cantelm perform at the Rancho Bernardo Library (17110 Bernardo Center Drive) at 6:15 p.m. in a free concert… Gilbert Castellanos begins the first of two gigs at Panama 66 (1450 El Prado) at 6 p.m. when he hosts the Young Lions Series this week featuring his students from the International Academy of Jazz including Brenda Greggio, Joaquin Ethan Sharon, Wesley Biasi, Melanie Johnson, Grace Dessert, and Alexis Harnage. At 8:30 p.m., everyone heads inside to the Copley Auditorium where he leads the jazz jam session with Joshua White and Rob Thorsen. All ages, no cover, no minimum, musicians bring your instruments!
