Gator by the Bay
The 15th-annual event features four days of live music with over 90 musical acts on seven stages performing Cajun, zydeco, swing, jazz, blues, salsa, and country. Plus 10,000 pounds of crawfish trucked from Louisiana, Cajun and Creole cooking, cooking demos by Louisiana chefs, and lots of dancing with free lessons and huge wooden dance floors on the San Diego Bay. The festival kicks off Thursday with headliner C.J. Chenier, son of the Grammy Award-winning “King of Zydeco” Clifton Chenier.
Performers include Curley Taylor & Zydeco Trouble, Bonsoir Catin, Jeffery Broussard & the Creole Cowboys, Roy Rogers, Johnny Vernazza, John Nemeth, Sugaray Rayford, Curtis Salgado Blues Band, The 44's with Kid Ramos, Billy Watson & International Silver String Submarine Band, Sue Palmer and Her Motel Swing Orchestra, Bill Magee Blues Band, Robin Henkel, Motordude Zydeco, Euphoria Brass Band, Joe Sans Fontenot Cajun Creole Band, David Sousa & Zydeco Mudbugs, Bayou Brothers, Billy Lee & the Swamp Critters, San Diego Cajun Playboys, Theo & Zydeco Patrol, Three Chord Justice, Gregory Page, Palominos, Manny Cepeda, Kimba Light, Todo Mundo, Flipside Burners, and Todd Waits Pigpen.
