Background:

Flipside Burners play a blazing variety of rockabilly, swing, blues and vintage rock and roll originals. Founding bassist Billy Grubbs (Red Headed Stranger) was born in Arkansas, where his roots grew deep learning how to play the bass at the age of ten. Guitarist Mark Fahl (Double Play, Bordertown Blues) has performed with Nancy Sinatra, Sonny Turner (the Platters), and country star Lynn Anderson.

In 2016, bassist Bill Grubbs was replaced by Caleb Furgatch, who was supplemented by bassist/singer Eddie Montoya. Drummer Becky Russell left the band in 2018, replaced by Peter Bogle (who won the 1992 San Diego Guitar Center Drum-off). By 2019, Fahl was backed by Bogle and bassist Justice Guevara (Power Shake, Small Town Heroes).
