A new EP called Music for 1 Musician drops November 3. According to Jordan Snodgrass, "It's a collection of tracks semi-categorizable as 'chunky lethargic acid.' Not as dark as my previous Growlbient LP, but more along the lines of my Styloid Process EP – upbeat, bouncy, and playful, with some introspective long-tailed-reverb drones thrown in for good measure. All recorded live in a single take using bits of eurorack modular, Roland Boutiques, Moog Subharmonicon/DFAM, Roland Space Echo, Earthquaker Devices Aquaduct, Korg SQ-1, classixxx 90s digital Quadraverb goodness, and other random junk." The EP was mastered by Jason Begin (Vytear, Author & Punisher, Octagrape).

The frontman for the five-piece classic rock band Tequila Mockingbirdz will spend a week in Dublin, Ireland (January 1 - 9) with childhood friend Robert Calkin in order to perform some shows with his band Rude Awakening at the Dedication Vibe, honoring the music and memory of Thin Lizzy's spiritual leader, the late Philip Lynott.

Her LA-based duo Deap Valley announced final release SISTRIONIX 2.0, a rerecorded version of their debut album, preceded by a single for "Baby I Call Hell" and supported with a Farewell Tour.

The band just released a single with the title track of their upcoming album One More Time, due October 20.

Embers will celebrate the release of their EP To: The Moon with a full band performance on Saturday, October 28 at Music Box (direct support for Death Cab For Karaoke).

Shankar has announced a new mini-album, Chapter I: Forever, For Now (produced by Arooj Aftab and featuring Nils Frahm), due October 6 and preceded by a single for "Daydreaming" (featuring Nils Frahm). The record will be supported with a three-week North American tour from October 3 - 22.

A new video for his track "Fire" starring model Jamie Sinclair comes from, his most recent album, Standing On the Moon. Another new video is streaming for "Yellow Girl Drawing."

With members now based in San Diego (singer-bassist James Reader), Sacramento (drummer Scott Frazier), and North Carolina (singer-guitarist Mark MacBride), the indie rock trio is back on September 15 with Cover Your Ears, a double-single covering “Why Can’t I Touch It” by Buzzcocks, b/w a version of “Kidney Bingos” by Wire. According to the band, "The latest music is written and recorded remotely with the band gathering in person to perform live."

Their new single "Chewing The Scenery," produced by Matt Squire (Underoath, SUM 41, The Used), is out now via Pure Noise Records. "This is one of the first songs we wrote when we locked ourselves in a cabin in the Poconos to figure out what we wanted to do with the sound of SYSC moving forward," says frontwoman Connie Sgarbossa. "Somehow, me saying I wanted a waltz part in a song turned into this expansion of the chaotic post hardcore sound we had done on The Romance of Affliction but with sprinkles of new brighter elements we wanted to sprinkle into the new songs that we were making."

"Destiny ft. Cornel West" is the first single from his upcoming album Destiny, co-written with Sly Stone. The song also features guest performances by Greg Errico, Jerry Martini, and Rustee Allen. A second single written with Stone just dropped, “Without a One.”
