09:44 Swimmer: Report of vehicle in water at Otay Lakes. Multiple agencies respond. 3L responds with River Rescue Team and Dive Rescue Team members. Vehicle checks clear of bodies. Lake Diver hooks up tow truck cable for removal.

14:30 Enforcement: U25 requests San Diego Police for 5150 in Law Street bathrooms. 21Sam responds. Police take suspect into custody.

Feb 22

06:18 Boating: Report of 23-foot boat fire at Mission Bay Yacht Club. 24 Sam responding on M-1 with 24 King, 3 King responding Code-3 to the Boat Storage Unit, 2-L responding and emergency call back for two at the BSU. Vessel turns out to be at the Mission Bay Boat and Ski Club parking lot. E21 extinguishes fire, all lifeguard units clear.

15:32 Medical: 13 year-old female traumatic injuries from a fall from scooter. 21Sam, E21, M6 and San Diego Police respond. Patient advised and released with Fire, Police remains on scene for report and lifeguards clear.

08:38 Boating: VHF caller states a vessel had blown against the rocks in Mariner’s Basin. R5 responds with 4Sam to find 1 person in the water. Victim swam ashore and R5 provides an emergency tow.

13:02 Medical: Lifeguards at Mission Beach report a scooter accident at 3141 Ocean Front Walk. 2Sam, E21, M21, and 121Baker respond. Patient advised and released by Medic 21.

14:28 Boating: Regular call of a 25 ft. sloop on the beach at El Carmel Place. Lifeguards respond to investigate. Registered owner contacted and makes plans to come and retrieve vessel.

09:30 Boating/Other: Report of submerged object resembling a body at South Shores Boat ramp. R3 and 4Sam respond. Units check the area and nothing found (on land or water).

10:45 Other: Car accident at Ingraham and Dana Landing for a unknown age/gender patient. U46, Fire, and Medics respond. Lifeguards cancel and Fire handles.

17:36 Enforcement: Possible jumper on pier; suspect is a 20 year-old female. San Diego Police, U12, 1Sam, Medic 6, and E15 respond. Suspect is located and Police takes her into custody.

09:59 Medical: Diabetic problems on unknown age person at 2000 East Mission Bay Drive. GI, Fire and Medics respond. Lifeguards cancel.

13:55 Medical: Convulsion/seizure at Abbott and Newport; 38 year-old female not conscious or breathing. Lifeguards, Fire and Medics respond. Medic 21 transport patient to UCSD.

14:34 Medical: Chest pain on a 56 year-old male at Mission Beach Tower. Lifeguards, Fire, and Medics respond. Medic 10 transports patient to Kaiser.

18:12 Boating: Vessel adrift broke anchor in Mariner’s Basin. R5 and MI respond. Lifeguards secure and help re-anchor 30 foot vessel in 25 knot winds.

19:30 Other: SeaWorld requests assistance for 30 victims stuck on gondolas. MI, M3, 1L, E 20, USAR 2, 41, B32, 4L, and 2L respond. Call ended up having 12 rescues using Lifeguard vessels for patient platform after the patients lowered from gondolas.
