July 29

05:59 Boating: VHF channel 16 call of a 36 ft. fishing vessel with small electrical fire, one mile off Crystal Pier. Lifeguard vessel responds. Fire is extinguished by the time the lifeguard arrives. Lifeguard tows back to Mission Bay channel, where Tow Boat US takes over.

08:24 Other: Lifeguard responds north of Scripps Pier for a 911 call of someone concerned about a dog and dog owner “swimming out too far”. Unit on scene determine no assistance needed.

11:10 Boating: VHF channel 16 call of a 40 ft. vessel taking on water off La Jolla. Multiple lifeguard vessels, US Coast Guard, and Tow Boat US respond. Lifeguard vessel pumps out water and tows back towards Mission Bay. Tow Boat US takes over at 12:18.

14:07 Medical: Lifeguards, fire, and medics respond to a 25 year-old female for traumatic injuries caused by a scooter accident on boardwalk. Patient advised by medics.

10:39 Medical: 61-year-old female shortness of breath at 2000 Spindrift Dr. Lifeguard on scene. Lifeguards, fire, and medics. Medics transport patient to Scripps La Jolla.

11:28 Medical: Unconscious male, possible drug overdose at Sunset Cliffs Blvd/Adair. Lifeguards, fire, and medics respond. Medics transport patient to UCSD.

11:27 Enforcement: 2 PWC speeding at Sail Bay. Lifeguard vessel responds, lifeguard makes warnings; clear.

13:28 Boating: Sinking 60’ Kelly Rose vessel off Sunset Cliffs. Multiple lifeguard vessels, US Coast Guard respond. Vessel pumped out and towed into Driscolls via Tow Boat US.

13:37 Medical: 61-year-old female with chest pain at Law St/Ocean Blvd. Lifeguards and medics respond. Medics transport patient to Scripps La Jolla.

13:44 Medical: 28-year-old male with ankle injury at Indian Canyon. Lifeguards respond. Patient slip and fell at the base of the trail. Lifeguard transports to the top of Black Gold Rd.

16:03 Boating: Vessel on the rocks with 2 persons on board in the water at S. Ingraham Bridge/Vacation Island. Lifeguard vessels respond. Seaforth rental; lifeguard provides emergency tow. Seaforth chase boat responds and takes over tow.

16:20 Other: Lifeguard reports a seal entangled in a fishing net on a vessel in a slip at Hyatt Marina. Sea World responds, unknown ETA.

16:37 Medical: 18-year-old, unconscious. Possible intoxication, three-quarters of the way up on Citizens Trail. Northern area cliff response initiated. Lifeguard calls of cliff response, medics continue. Patient treated, advised and released.

17:13 Medical: 40-year-old male with traumatic injuries at PB Drive/Ocean Blvd. Lifeguards, fire, and medical respond. Lifeguards on scene report no aid needed, all units clear.

17:45 Enforcement: Excessive noise/vessel overloaded at Catamaran Hotel/ PB drive. Lifeguard vessel responds. Warnings were issued; clear.

17:54 Boating: Sinking PWC (rental from Mission Bay Sports Center) at Riviera Shores 1 person on board. Lifeguard vessel responds. Lifeguard vessel provides emergency tow. Mission Bay Sports Center takes over tow; LG’s clear.

19:27 Swimmer: 42-year-old male swimmer reported missing for 30 minutes and last seen swimming from north of Leisure Lagoon to Fiesta Island. Multiple lifeguard units, SDPD respond. Swimmer found by lifeguard on W. Mission Bay Dr.

07:09 Boating: Lifeguard vessel responds to a disabled vessel near next to our dock and provides a courtesy tow back to their trailer nearby.

07:34 Medical: Lifeguard requests medics to Santa Clara for a 25 year-old female, unresponsive. Medics take over patient care, lifeguards clear.

11:58 Boating: Lifeguard vessel responds to a 26 ft. boat on the rocks near the breakwater, then tows vessel back to Mariners Basin.

12:48 Medical: Lifeguards, fire, and medics respond to a 35-year-old female with cardiac arrest at the Bahia Hotel. Medics to handle, lifeguards clear.
