Barrio Logan group says basta to stadium rhetoric
If it were up to these groups, the government would take over the land and let them live on it rent-free. Sorry folks, it didn't work in Venezuela and it won't work here.— July 16, 2016 7:51 p.m.
Poway Unified School District in crisis?

National Action Network moves in to instill "white guilt" and figure out ways of getting access to state funds sent to agency. Step 3. Guilted board members get on board for fear of being labeled "racist." Step 4. See step 1.— July 16, 2016 7:32 p.m.

Thr3e Punk Ales signs a lease in Chula Vista
After 2008, 3rd Avenue had been invaded by folks taking advantage of the empty buildings (brought on by the poor economy) to open up event halls. We need businesses like these breweries. In fact, we need businesses that stay open after 5pm. I see many people, namely seniors from the Congregational Tower, out late looking for things to do, but everything's closed! Businesses like these provide a place for everyone, young and old, to gather and have a good time responsibly. If a business stays open later, it sells more and brings more tax revenue into the city. It's that simple. Why is it that downtown La Mesa can pull this off and we can't? Our mayor should spend more time fixing her own city rather than attending climate summits half across the globe!— January 17, 2016 8:44 a.m.

Chula Vista University, anyone?
Why can't we just stop with this border mentality? Let's work to get a world class university into the area. I for one don't thing that cooperating with a third world country can result in anything worth considering.— July 14, 2015 7:14 p.m.
