Wavves at Observatory North Park

A new album called Spun dropped in June via Ghost Ramp Records, preceded by a single for “Goner” produced by Travis Barker, with an accompanying video filmed at the Los Angeles County wildfire benefit show at Zebulon. Promoting their first new music since 2021, this penultimate date of Wavves’ Spun North America Summer 2025 tour includes San Francisco grunge-shoegaze band Chokecherry, as well as NIIS and Initiate.

“Avenue Army relocated from Saint Paul, Minnesota to San Diego specifically because they felt that their sound would fit nicely in Southern California and because they strongly felt that this was the place to build a better foundation for their music and fanbase,” says singer-songwriter Max Bergstrom of alt-pop-punk band Avenue Army. They relocated to California in 2016, where Bergstrom eventually recruited an entirely revised local lineup. They recently released a new single and music video for their track “Shit Out of Luck." The show is headlined by American Pie actor and musician Thomas Nicholas, on a bill that includes Ikana and Dream Desire.
