Wednesday 17
HM3 with Harley Magsino, Joshua White, Charles Weller, and Trish Naval play the Studio Door (3750 30th Street) at 7 p.m. $10 at the door… The Gabriel Sundy Trio with Mack Leighton and Matt Smith play Seven Grand (3054 University Avenue) at 9 p.m. 21+, no cover… Gilbert Castellanos has two shows at Panama 66 (1450 El Prado). First, he hosts the Young Lions at 6 p.m., and at 8:30 he leads the jam session until 11:30 p.m. All ages, no cover, musicians bring your horns.

Pianist Aaron Goldberg leads a trio with Yasushi Nakamura and Leon Parker at the Athenaeum Music and Arts Library (1008 Wall Street) at 7:30 p.m. $26 general admission, $21 members, $15 student rush… The Matt Smith Neu Jazz Trio plus Gabriel Sundy, Mack Leighton, and Ed Kornhauser play Dizzy’s (4275 Mission Bay Drive) at 8 p.m. $15 at the door.

Friday 19
The Steph Johnson Trio with Rob Thorsen and Fernando Gomez play the Happy Hour at the Handlery Hotel (950 Hotel Circle North) at 5:30 p.m. No cover charge, validated parking… The Joshua White Trio with Dean Hulett and Duncan Moore play the Westgate Hotel (1055 Second Avenue). No cover, $20 food drink minimum.

Saturday 20
Allison Adams Tucker presents the Saturday Spotlight Series at the Westgate Hotel with Patrick Berrogain and Chris Vitas at 8 p.m.… Joshua White Quintet with Peter Sprague, Leonard Patton, Rob Thorsen, and Duncan Moore play Dizzy’s at 8 p.m. $20 at the door.

Sunday 21
Allison Adams Tucker presents the 8th Annual Brazil Jazz Festa with Rebecca Kleinman, Ian Faquini, Renato Secco, Mark Lamson, Andrew Acquista, Claudia Lyra, Danny Green, Justin Grinnell, and Julien Cantelm at Dizzy’s. Music begins at 8 p.m. $25 at the door.
