2014 San Diego Beer Week: Day 9

A comprehensive roundup of San Diego Beer Week events for November 15.

Saturday, November 15 Beer Week events

Sculpin & Victory At sea Showcase: Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits’ Sculpin IPA and Victory at Sea coffee- and vanlla-infused imperial porter have such massive cult followings, that the company makes various fruited, chili peppered, and spiced versions of each, many of which will be available for one day only at Urge Gastropub. | Urge Gastropub, 16761 Bernardo Cener Drive, Rancho Bernardo, 11:30 a.m.

Jibe & Soul Style Release Event: They’re already known for myriad West Coast-style India pale ales, but that’s not stopping Green Flash Brewing Company from introducing to more IPAs—Jibe (session IPA) and Soul Style (single IPA). In doing so, they’re inviting fans to help out with a beach cleanup in Mission Bay in exchange for a tour and tasters. | Green Flash Brewing Company, 6550 Mira Mesa Boulevard, Mira Mesa

Barrel-Aged Vietnamese Coffee Speedway Stout Release: AleSmith Brewing Company made a good thing better when they added Vietnamese coffee to its stellar Speedway Stout. They’ve further upped the ante by aging that concoction in oak barrels—yeah, you’re gonna want this, and this is when to get it (after pre-ordering online). | AleSmith Brewing Company, 9368 Cabot Drive, Miramar

Other Notable Happenings

Coronado Brewing Beer 4 Breakfast, Small Bar, University Heights, 10 a.m.

Vertical Beer & Cheese Pairing with Venissimo, Thorn St. Brewery, North Park, 12 p.m.
