A wallow in the wild

·

Some times people only find others to relate when each others broken parts fit. On the Oceanside pier there is usually only one pelican sitting and daring strangers to come close. Days like today there are three connecting in silence, thinking perhaps "He thinks this spot is cool , I'll try it to" Eventually they all leave the one solo pelican, but sometimes they come back. I feel like looking at the pier, but I am not wanting to walk on it. I would rather pretend I am a child to scared to take foot. I am happy in a make believe world where goodness is presented and pain is the lesson plan. I have lost a lover and gained a couple friends. I am the solo pelican on the railing, knowing if I wait long enough friends will join me, all the while fixing my broken feathers from a man who has never known me. The only life I have is to take flight alone, walk on the wood, look through the spaces and be happy that sometimes others join me.

I dare you to hurt, learn, and be real.. Sitting and waiting is the best part. Only sometimes they all come back.
