Wesley Snipes, Miley Cyrus, and the Big Bad Bear

Wesley Snipes is sentences to three years; Miley Cyrus is a billionaire, and a bear kills a trainer.

There were such interesting news stories, I didn't know which to blog about. I thought about the bear that ate his trainer. I had just seen that mauler in Semi-Pro, yet another unfunny Will Ferrell film. But, when another animal thing happened, I went down that path of using animals and everyone being surprised when they take out the Croc Hunter.

Then I heard Miley Cyrus was worth a billion dollars. But, there's so much to say on that, I figured I'd let it go. She's probably worth it. She sells out everywhere she goes. Her show is a hit. Now, with that kind of dough, she better not being doing those commercials we see Gary Coleman doing now. Hopefully her dad, who probably blew all his Achy Breaky Heart money, won't let her do the same.

But, on the money being blown topic, I have to go with Wesley Snipes as the blog topic.

They just announced on TV that he gets three years behind bars.

I love it.

I thought it would be another case of a celebrity getting off lightly.

Some say this is harsh, considering three years was the max. I heard one legal expert say "This is a big sentence, considering he's never been in trouble before."

I'm sure she is forgetting the time 10 years ago, he rode his motorcycle over 100 mph fleeing from cops, before crashing with a bag of weed on his person (I love when cops say that).

He also owes $15 million to the IRS. And, in court, Snipes said, "Wealth does not bless me with wisdom."

True dat!

I wish it would've been a longer sentence.

When I think of people like Oscar Wilde, the most talented playwrite ever, who served jail time simply because he was gay....

Maybe Snipes will acquire wisdom during his three years without making movies (unless his cellmate has a camcorder and they film something)
