Arsenic and No Trace

The Oceanside woman out of jail...did she kill her Marine husband?

So, they let that Oceanside woman out of jail, after a two year stint.

Initially, they said they found arsenic in his blood. And, she was accused of killing the Marine.

When the case was going on, I thought she was guilty. I still do. But I also feel that, it shouldn't matter that she had sex with his friends after the death. Or that she got breast implants with the insurance money she received. Or went to Las Vegas and had wild parties. The only thing that should matter to a jury, are things like: did she have access to arsenic? did she have an alibi? did she have motive? etc.

And, that life insurance money, it's all gone. Great mom, huh?

And, the talk now is that she's happy to be reunited with her teenage daughter.

The craziest thing is that she told a reporter, when asked about the breast implants, "People grieve in different ways." Now, that has got to be the stupidest cliche she could use.

There is nothing "grieving" about that. Yes, people do grieve in different ways. That means, some might ball their eyes out at a funeral. Another might start laughing, thinking of a funny moment with the recently deceased. Someone might leave the house for weeks. Another might go immediately back to work, and act like nothing happened.

But, going and getting a boob job, is hardly grieving.

I think she would've been better off saying something like, "Well, I didn't really grieve much, because as sad as it is that the man I was married to died, the simple truth is, our marriage wasn't going so well. So, in a way, this saves a big and ugly divorce from happening. I do feel bad for our daughter, who lost her father."

Sure, you might not garner much sympathy saying that. But, it's probably closer to the truth.

You know what? She's single now. Maybe we should try to set her up with O.J. Simpson.
