No Apologies
"Remember this SDaniels,CuddleFish, antigeekess and all my other so-called haters on this board-I'm your mirror." I skimmed this post, and am not going to read all the back-and-forth. I'm just going to say this once, and I'm done: First, Narcissistic Personality Disorder is 'not' a personality plus, contrary to what the narcissist himself may think. It's a disorder that results directly from emotional neglect. As difficult as it is for narcissists the world over to imagine, people don't "either love [you] or hate [you]." Most of us aren't expending that much thought or emotion on you, at all. For someone who's an insatiable, "me"-centered, attention-craving emotional hole who uses the pronoun "I" 500+ times per day, this is extremely frustrating. For the rest of us, however, it's simply reality.— October 22, 2009 11:09 a.m.
Straight Eye for the Gay Guy
Best Pop Male Vocalist of the last 2 decades, hands down. Love him and that song. "It’s been years since I’ve found a straight man sexually appealing." LOL. Right there with ya. I mean, what's there to be attracted to, really? They're just not pretty, are they? ('Cept for Viggo and a few exceptionally beautiful others.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lm_RohG4wxk <sigh> "It’s one thing to find celebrities sexually attractive; you may want George Clooney in the worst way, but first you have to attract his attention." Gee, I dunno. Clooney's kinda discreetly slutty, isn't he? :) I mean, my understanding is that he prefers to date regular folks. Like, if you're a waitress, but you're cute and smart, I think you've got a shot with Georgie! Regarding Tom Cruise, I think your friend was right. It's been the rumor for years, and whether he is or not, gay men seem to have claimed him (whiiiiiich will probably get this comment edited or removed -- I understand he's pretty litigious about it). I've found that with certain of these "gay" guys, their level of gayness is inversely proportional to a woman's level of hotness and/or drunkenness. As in, "Oh, wait a second. Here come Mr. Gay's lips in my direction. Whaddup widdat?" :/— October 22, 2009 2 a.m.
South Park Cat Tales: The Red Rover (#3)
Ah, I see that you are an "action cat," Stella. The cat who enslaves me is not one such as you. Olivia is more of the "casual cat" variety. We have a red bastard in this apartment as well. Olivia prefers to study it. Like a great chess champion who sees many moves ahead, she contemplates the red bastard, analyzing its variances in trajectory and velocity. One day she WILL crack the code. And then, the insolent red bastard will rue the day it dared to trespass in her abode. Oh yes, it shall come to pass. P.S. Totally sucks about the "Uprighters" thing. Editors. Phffft! What do they know? Useless as the nipples on Two Legs, they are. (I'd still love to read your definition, Stella.) :)— October 21, 2009 10:43 p.m.
Put On Your Dancin' Shoes
For Christmas, I want a guitarist like Tuck to sing with. The superb Tuck & Patti: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M56QwDjE6PQ&featur… And while we're feeling just a bit jazzy, might as well throw in the reigning queen of the jazz chenteuse genre, red dress, Rainbow Room, the whole schmere: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjgkAHt38NA That's enough. For now. :)— October 21, 2009 10:21 p.m.

The great Segovia had some of the stubbiest little picklefingers we've ever seen. Didn't seem to slow him down much, though: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bG7y_CD9rMg&featur… This next gentleman, however, has a slightly more serious impairment. And his doesn't seem to slow him down much either. Some of you San Diegans probably already know him: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s0e39r436hQ&featur… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WK-Pv0VLjQE&NR=1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hSnUwA6c67k (My favorite perfect video moment from this last one? Just as Mark sings the line, "You never slow down, you never grow old," an old dude goes by on one of those funky reclining bikes.) See more from Mark on YouTube, on my playlists, and -- if he's still doing it -- Sundays in Balboa Park. Anybody know?— October 21, 2009 10:12 p.m.

What? Not enough STRINGS, you say? 6-strings are for little girls? Is that it? Behold: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2BOApUvFpw&featur… Fingernails like Nosferatu and a C-clamp for a freakin' capo. That's just badass. And Pino, he plays guitar like he's running his fingers through a woman's hair: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bT3CH6Wr4g&featur…— October 21, 2009 9:56 p.m.

Electricity, anyone? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BTgxkQnQKjw (Gotta love a guy with post-grunge bedhead in a Charlie Brown shirt.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Hzgt-1AxZU&featur… And I think if your parents name you Sebastien, you're pretty much 'required' to play something, aren't ya? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Hzgt-1AxZU&featur… Hmmmm....who else?— October 21, 2009 9:45 p.m.

A couple of acoustic instrumentals from the great Andy McKee: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ddn4MGaS3N4&featur… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cvar4ZsqsEo&featur… And a bit of acoustic metal from Socci and Pency: http://www.youtube.com/user/socciandpency#p/u/3/-… \^^/ :)— October 21, 2009 9:39 p.m.

Her name is Elina. She lives in a village way up in the North of Sweden. I think she's the greatest undiscovered talent in the world. In my opinion, no one can touch her. Everybody else, just go home now. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdVZ3xrWe8w&featur… http://www.youtube.com/user/Elolinona#p/search/0/… Recently, she's been doing more Broadway and things like that. She's always brilliant, but I prefer her earlier postings like these, from about 2 years ago.— October 21, 2009 9:23 p.m.
