Troubled Bridgepoint runs into GI Bill problems
Exactly. I have noticed that those degrees are not a commonly valued for a first hire, but are used extensively to compete for bonuses and promotions once 'in the system."— June 2, 2016 12:02 p.m.
Cinder block vs. taser in Lakeside
Sebastian Caspary, this story is about a cinder block. The story also did not mention the strength of the person with the cinder block. I doubt anyone can throw one cinder block very far. And I think most agile people could dodge it. It seems police are getting more and more used to using force than using their brains. After watching the overwhelming misuse of force during the Trump visit, it's obvious people are growing tired of lazy cops and militarized forces that would prefer to inflict harm than to be patient. Some don't even have the brains to keep their pent up violent proclivities secret, by posting how they want a riot to break out on their social networking pages.— June 2, 2016 11:56 a.m.

Chula Vista deemed the worst staycation spot
When I read surveys and and stories like this, I remind myself that John Walton (one of the Walmart heirs) once lived in National City. I worked as a consultant for his company, Corsair Marine in Chula Vista. John could live anywhere in the world, but he choose to live in San Diego, and in a Victorian home in National City no less. Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey and others own homes in Rancho Santa Fe. John DeLorean used to live in Pala. Presidential candidate Mitt Romney had a home in La Jolla. Chula Vista itself may not be a destination, but it's 10 minutes from downtown San Diego, Coronado and Mission Bay.— June 2, 2016 10:02 a.m.
Chula Vista deemed the worst staycation spot
I enjoyed visiting the UT room at the fair because it was quiet and air conditioned. I wonder if they still have it? (I used to attend the fair every year, but stopped going a few years ago).— June 2, 2016 9:49 a.m.
Cinder block vs. taser in Lakeside
I guess our police forces have become so accustomed to using force they forgot you can out run a cinder block. It's not a weapon, it's a boat anchor.— June 2, 2016 9:45 a.m.

Trying Trust again
What an affair! I was still swooning over the pickled grapes when I wrote the mandatory 20% tip on the $128 tab. Yes, Trust reached out to try and mitigate their first negative review in The Reader. Perhaps the meal was 'on-the-house."— May 30, 2016 10:59 p.m.
Hillcrest Wienerschnitzel kaput
I studied anthropology and worked at some sites many years ago, including Teotihuacan. I don't know if any scientists can confirm what the feet images symbolize. In some cases they point to a landmark. We used to laugh and wonder if some of these drawing were done under the influence of peyote or something. Now the wheel image is interesting because no wheel was introduced in the America's until the Europeans arrived. The natives should have patented it. lol The symbols were understood to be indications of good hunting grounds. So the prey that was found to be abundant in an area would be depicted on the drawings. Usually buffalo and antelope. Notice the perspective of the buffalo in the drawing look like they are hides, rather than standing beasts. That's because buffalo were prized more for their use as fur and ceremonial purposes than meat, which often times was left to be consumed by wolves.— May 30, 2016 9:34 p.m.
