She always looks like she is sad or about to cry. My hope is the voters will look past her being an "incumbent" and vote in a qualified D.A. She has been incompetent since her first day. — April 14, 2018 9:51 a.m.
Trump's hefty military budget
Mike I've shopped at your warehouse a few times. You would know about government waste because you get some of it. It must be amazing to see what taxpayers spend and then what is winds up being worth in the real world.— April 14, 2018 9:56 a.m.

Tony Robbins attacked #MeToo at lecture
Just a few things Tony Robbins does at his shows: Bullies a woman into calling her boyfriend and breaking up with him while 2,500 people watch. Encourages a survivor of systemic childhood rape to tell the story of her abuse without preparation (or really, consent) in front the entire audience. He then encourages her to form artificially deep and vulnerable relationships with three random ass dudes from the audience who are supposed to check in on her. She is to refer to these men as her “uncles.” Asks people dealing with suicidal ideation to identify themselves to the entire group. Robbins doesn’t seem to understand the full scope of the mental illness and forgets that suicide can sometimes result from people opening up before they are ready. Robbins then singles out a young man, stands in this man’s personal space, talks to him about his desire to kill himself, mocks his shoes, and then claims that the guy is cured.— April 10, 2018 10:56 a.m.
Tijuana does Hollywood… again
I don't visit Tijuana. I drive through it to the Guadalupe Valley or the interior of Mexico. Once you get away from the border, Mexico is really an interesting place. These days I just tell them I'm Canadian.— April 7, 2018 5:49 p.m.

Trial begins for Oceanside woman who drove with body in her car
A suspect who has a prior DUI can be charged with murder. That is because they are required to attend an alcohol education course, from 6 to 18 months, where they are supposed to learn the dangers of driving under the influence. To get their driving privileges restored, a convicted DUI defendant must sign a special statement that if they kill someone because of a DUI in the future, they will be charged with murder. If this case, it is reported she has no criminal record. But she is in the country illegally and was driving without a license. Perhaps the ghastly nature of death and her shameless behavior after the accident will seal her fate.— April 2, 2018 7:20 p.m.
Just another night in Gaslamp
And then these buffoon millennials whine because they can’t get a good paying job or buy a home. Well if you didn’t waste your money on tattoos, pink hair, vaping, smoking pot, leasing cars, watching Netflix 8 hours a day, waxing your pussy and drinking every weekend you might have the pennies and credit worthiness to own a real asset.— March 31, 2018 12:24 p.m.
Santana High over-reacts to gun
Times sure have changed. This is off topic, but worth thinking about. When I was in high school in the mid-1970’s, I was an ROTC cadet. As part of our "coursework," we visited local firing ranges and trained with .22 rifles. Every summer we spent 4-days at Camp Pendleton firing M-16’s. These are kids from 14 to 18 years old. The ROTC building on the high school campus had an armory filled with about 100 used M-14 rifles. The only thing missing was bayonets and firing pins. We had magazine with no ammo. The rifles were used in training on how to disassemble and reassemble the weapon. They were used for Drill Team and Color Guard. They were locked up in a room that had a metal cage inside, but by today’s standard would be easy to breach. I often wonder if there had been a crazed person at that time, they could have snuck in some firing pins and ammo and had a whole arsenal inside the campus.— March 29, 2018 7:22 p.m.
