Letters
I enjoyed reading the article on the guy who had his RV towed from Dennys. But I enjoy these letters even more. It's great when people can read a story and realize that one guy ranting and raving isn't always right. When I blog on here about police, everyone seems to want to attack the officers, instead of rationally trying to figure out the story. I, like everyone else, has gotten my car towed or parking tickets. Two times, I came upon my car AS it was being ticketed, and I didn't start yelling at the meter maid. I realized I was two minutes off the time the meter ran out, and that's that. They're just doing their job. No need to make it any more difficult. And even hearing the RV owner tell the story in HIS OWN WORDS, it's hard to be on his side, because he immediately jumped down the security guards throat. And for what? For knocking too loud? Amazing.— July 15, 2009 3:34 p.m.
Have you ever happened upon a movie being filmed?
SD...I agree. That woman should be thrilled. Not many people can say they were in a movie with a famous actor playing their dad. I think she was more proud of her grandfather, though. Anyway, magic...you should see the movie In Bruges. They have a scene where Colin Farrel sees a movie being filmed, and is so fascinated by the entire production. Even more so, when he realizes a midget is in it.— July 15, 2009 3:26 p.m.
Have you ever happened upon a movie being filmed?
Those two stories remind me of stories (on a side note: email me, or call my voice mail, regarding the party on the 25th, so I have all the info). When Jurassic Park opened, lines were around the building of every theatre it was showing in. My friends and I went to a midnight show, and it even sold-out. This was in Mira Mesa, and I ran into a few of my other friends near the back. They said that Sylvester Stallone was filming a movie (the female lead was a then unknown Sandra Bullock) on Miramar Road, and that pyramid building. We figured at 2:00 a.m. when we showed up, they'd be done. They weren't. They had to drive an old Camaro or some muscle car, thru these glass doors. They would do that, set up the doors again, and film from a different angle. No stars were there, just a few extras, dressed in robes (because, I guess that's what people wear in the future...either silver outfits, or robes). After an hour, we were so bored, we just left. When the movie came out, we were surprised. It was a scene where Stallone steals a car from a prison and drives out the building. It lasted a total of 30 seconds, tops. And they spend hours nad hours filming it. Ever since that moment, I didn't mind spending over $10 on a movie ticket.— July 15, 2009 3:24 p.m.
Conspiracy Theories
Spliff...what peanuts and Tyler Perry have to do with anything is...you seem to want to "kick someones azz" at the drop of a hat. Chill out, my man. Smoke a spliff, and get mellow. Now, regarding all of this hijacking stuff...remember what I said early on in this debate (or one of our many debates): During 9/11, there WERE passengers that fought back, at the plane in Washington, D.C. Because of them fighting back, they kept the plane from flying into a building. But because of the ruckus, it caused the plane to crash in a field (killing everyone on board). So, fighting back can work. And it can be disasterous. But when all the other hijackings in history (Google, you'll see a list of them), most of the hijackers had guns (as you pointed out). But, almost all the passengers ended up not being hurt, after demands were met (as I pointed out).— July 15, 2009 10:30 a.m.
Michael Jackson Saga Continues -- Debbie Rowe and Joe Jackson Edition
Okay...they just showed Joe Jackson on The View. I change my mind. Yes, he does look like Vincent Price. I would've never thought that, had you not said anything towelhead. Exactly, magics. That is what is so annoying. The city/state continues to make these insane decisisions. The Lakers win a championship, and thugs burn up police cars and destroy the city. Yet, they'll have a parade for these idiots. And now the Michael Jackson funeral. Getting back to Debbie Rowe...I find it odd that everyone keeps saying that her claims for money are horrible things to do to the kids. That they are going to read about their mom not wanting them, and just wanting money. Well, that may be. But those same people, if they are so concerned about the children, don't seem to say anything about Michael Jackson making poor decisions constantly in his life, was also bad for the children. And I don't mean the dangling a child over the balcony. I think that is overblown and not even that big of a deal. I'm talking about his obsession with other children, letting kids sleep in his bed, letting kids drink alcohol and look at nude photos...and his addiction to all the various things he seemed to be addicted to. Things are coming out now that there were times the kids wanted to see their dad, and were told "You know you can't bother him when he's in that room getting his oxygen." Yet, everyone wants to talk about how Debbie Rowe is doing these things that are so horrible for the children to hear about.— July 15, 2009 10:26 a.m.
NBA -- Playoffs and Personalities
Sports talk shows NEED topics, so they often bring up the same ol/same ol, every few weeks or so. I mean, nobody cares at this point, if Favre is going to play for the Vikins, yet they keep bringing that up. And sports shows like to bring up the merits of a center with, let's say 11 championships like Bill Russell, vs Wilt Chamberlain, who everyone knows was better, yet only has a couple rings. As I've said before, the athletes...Barkley, Gwynn, who ever...they say that, because they know it's what sounds good.— July 15, 2009 9:51 a.m.
Michael Jackson Saga Continues -- Debbie Rowe and Joe Jackson Edition
Hmmmmm...I don't see the Vincent Price look, exactly. Although Joe Jackson is scarier than any role Price ever played.— July 15, 2009 9:46 a.m.
BREAKING NEWS BLOG -- Michael Jackson and Farrah Die
Well, it's probably a mix of two things, magics. First, the toys WERE better (Jack Nicholson even complained about that to Adam Sandler once at a baseball game). Second, when you are younger, you like those toys so much more. Whether that's in a Happy Meal, or a box of Cracker Jack. It might be a tattoo that only half the picture ends up on your arm...but you think it's the greatest thing in the world.— July 15, 2009 1:24 a.m.

Give Us Our Music Back!
Now that is funny, anti. What happened to the old, funny anti I used to know and love? Instead of the one always trying to find incorrect info I post? C'mon! We disagree on adopted kids and a few other things, but really.... Can't we have an online hug already?— July 14, 2009 4:09 p.m.
