Goth Marriage and Gloria

How about that Gloria independent expenditure coming back to haunt his campaign, hmmm? Looks like we've got more information coming in, and the "Assistant Treasurer" to this bogus group is the proud recipient of the FPPC's largest fine ever for hiding campaign contributions. "Sutton solidified his reputation as the dark prince of San Francisco elections, a hired gun who helps downtown interests and well-funded campaigns continue to dominate the electoral field even after voters passed reforms that restricted campaign giving and spending and required more official disclosure." http://www.sfbg.com/38/19/news_sutton.html You shall be known by the company you keep, and it looks like Gloria's gotten into bed with ghouls... Sutton even has San Diego interests. He wants to INCREASE corruption in this town: "Most recently Sutton testified before the San Diego Ethics Commission at a Jan. 21 hearing on a proposal to strengthen local campaign finance law. Sutton argued the commission should repeal the local law and replace it with the state's version, which happens to be weaker." Wow! Gloria supporters want to weaken campaign finance laws so the insider developers can give even more money under the table. Keep tuned, this is turning into a major story...

Trash Talking: Allied Seeks to Expand Sycamore Landfill

Comment #19 is copy/pasted from: http://www.sandiegoreader.com/weblogs/abnormal-he… Comment #20 is yet another fake alias from the poster also known as "Stephen Davis from South Park", "District3Resident", 2MuchSense", and now "kensington". Reader readers, make up your own minds. Best, Fred Williams

Mission Valley Village

The story of Mission Valley Village deserves to be told far and wide in San Diego. What the developers and city have done to these good people is a disgrace. Under the guise of redevelopment Jim Madaffer and his cronies have conspired to evict the seniors from their homes so a multi-billion dollar conglomerate can build yet more condos. Nobody has lifted a finger to stop this travesty. The mayor came to whisper soothing noises at a "no media allowed" meeting with Village residents, but when it came time to do something at the city council did nothing. Turns out the developer gave money to our Mayor's campaign. So much for the seniors. The injustice of destroying affordable housing in the name of "affordable housing" and "mixed-use development" would be ironic if it weren't so tragic. In their rush to bulldoze these people out of their homes, the greed obsessed developers will tell any lie and pay any politician off just to cram a few more dollars in their pockets. We must change San Diego. Marti Emerald would represent these home owners on a new city council and she would fight to rescind the dirty deals done in secret. That's why you see Emerald signs around Mission Valley Village today. For District 7 residents who care about basic fairness, there's no better candidate than Marti Emerald. Please vote for her. The residents of Mission Valley Village don't have the money for a high priced law suit, so they need an advocate on the City Council. A vote for Emerald is a vote for change, and a vote for justice for the residents of our neighbors in Mission Valley Village. Best, Fred Williams http://www.sandiegoreader.com/weblogs/abnormal-he…
