Manter’s rays costly to con-center ballot bid
Matt: You only mention labor unions once. Are these the same labor unions that you label "Big Labor"? It is too bad that you do not understand what labor unions do or how they work.— May 2, 2018 6:57 a.m.
Padres pitcher will be tried July 2
Just another sports thug.— May 2, 2018 6:36 a.m.
They want IB to look good from the bike path
If the city (or PUD or condo association, etc.) has a rule that they wish to enforce that enforcement must be fair, consistent and applicable to all. If IB wishes to enforce "minimum standards" to some residents they must apply those standards to ALL residents. Selective enforcement is discriminatory and should be challenged. Of course it is IB what can you expect.— May 1, 2018 10:33 a.m.
Refs not vetted enough, says city auditor
The one thing that ALL government bureaucrats lack is common sense.— April 30, 2018 7:25 a.m.
Cell phone towers where you'd least expect
I have been with Verizon since the NuTouch days. I travel a lot and find that Verizon has the best coverage. The rest are at best so so. A friend of mine switched to another carrier and as if says "I pay half of what you pay but I only get half my calls". The lesson her is you get what you pay for.— April 28, 2018 11:06 a.m.
Innovus: twenty-eight drugs in five years
First come the products then comes the profit and then comes the lawsuits.— April 28, 2018 9:10 a.m.
San Diego State slick magazine touts Mission Valley plan
You can be sure of one thing and that is that the City of San Diego will make the wrong decision when it comes to the stadium property. The City Council could screw up an empty room.— April 26, 2018 7:46 a.m.
Local Dems and GOP beat back the edges
This is the reason that I would never live in the City of San Diego. What happened to people that wanted to represent all the people in their district?— April 26, 2018 7:41 a.m.
Bruce Henderson sues City over his firing
Did Mr. Henderson have an employment contract? If not he is an "at will" employee which means that the employer may terminate his employment for no reason at all. Unless the employer can be shown to have discriminated against him (and others) for reasons prohibited by law he has no case.— April 24, 2018 7:46 a.m.
So much for the fire extinguisher
" . . . the self-described Brothers in Christ . . ." Maybe Jesus will give them a lift after all he apparently failed to stop the fire.— April 24, 2018 7:41 a.m.
