What Prop 6 is repealing in San Diego
Anything DeMaio is for I am against.— November 7, 2018 7:21 a.m.
Once more from Carlsbad
If I recall correctly the flights out of Carlsbad never went where people wanted to go. Most business travelers need to go to LA, San Francisco and Sacramento.— November 4, 2018 7:06 a.m.
North Park tear-downs push infill
North Park and many other neighborhoods throughout San Diego (City/County) have been taken from quaint single family homes to infilling with apartments. This destroys the fabric of the community, increases traffic, eliminates parking and decreases stability. When you increase renters and decrease homeowners there is an increase in crime. Developers and the corrupt local governments have destroyed many neighborhoods. Money talks and the rest of us get nothing.— November 3, 2018 6:06 a.m.
“Best friend” murderer gets 80-years-to-Life
NHI— November 3, 2018 6 a.m.
San Marcos carrying water for developers
Politicos need money to run an election. Developers and others with money support their political candidate and then expect a payoff for their investment. The average voter can not financially support a candidate so they have little power when it comes time to call in favors. Money talks and BS walks.— November 1, 2018 7:08 a.m.
Duncan Hunter's smoke-filled spending
Hunter will win because the district is deep red. He will be convicted and will go to jail. He wife will divorce him. When he wins and then is convicted and has to resign a republican will be appointed to fill his term. That is why the republican majority in his district will vote for him.— November 1, 2018 7:05 a.m.
Ugliest man-made structure in Vista
Classic example of money talks.— October 30, 2018 6:30 a.m.
Oceanside mulling Brother Benno's
Private security is nothing more than window dressing. They have no authority than an the average citizen. Their purpose is to provide a false sense of security. Most are paid minimum wage with their employer making most of the money. Just what would anyone expect a low wage no/low benefit unarmed worker to do when confronted with a problem? They may "scare off" some dirt bag but any bag guy with more than a single digit IQ knows that these security guards have no power. (Note: Armed security is a slightly different story but cost a lot more than window dressing)— October 30, 2018 6:27 a.m.
San Diego judge upholds Julie Harper’s 40-year sentence
Everyone makes mistakes that is true but some mistakes you have to pay for and Julie Harper deserves to spend the rest of her worthless life in prison. Good riddance.— October 29, 2018 5:19 p.m.
Intruder took shotgun away and assaulted homeowner
Getting a gun for protection is not enough. If one is going to have a gun, shotgun, rifle or whatever, one should get appropriate training in the care, use and law.— October 29, 2018 7:04 a.m.
