Twitch Con

TwitchCon is a convention for fans of live streaming culture, featuring top creators, e-sports competitors, community panels, gaming showcases, and merch, all under one roof. Attendees can meet popular streamers, watch live competitions, participate in workshops and panels, and browse an exhibitor floor and artist alley.

When: Friday, October 17 through Sunday, October 19, 12 pm

HauntFest Halloween Block Party

This family-friendly festival features costume contests, amusement rides, a haunted maze, trick-or-treating, trunk-or-treat with classic cars, live entertainment, and a family outdoor movie. Guests can enjoy face painting, airbrush tattoos, live music, a DJ dance party, performances by roaming stilt walkers, and a sensory tent for a calming break from the action. Admission is free.    

When: Friday, October 17, 4 pm to 9 pm

Saturday | 18

Native American Heritage Celebration

This inaugural festival aims to bring together tribes across Southern California to honor Indigenous Peoples’ Day and celebrate Native voices. It will be a free community event and will offer entertainment and activities for all ages. Music, food, storytelling, and art are on display, plus there is a lineup of shows. Browse the hands-on cultural booths, art booths, and food vendors.

When: Saturday, October 18, 10 am to 5 pm

Sunday | 19

Nature Collective Fall Festival

Join the costume contest, get creative with hands-on nature crafts, and experience live animal encounters. Check out the face painting, bounce house, and discovery booths. The native plants booth will provide information on how some of San Diego’s most unique plants have tricky ways of surviving our hot summers, from poking leaves to scents. The tide pools booth will show how creatures hiding among rocky shores and beaches are revealed during low tides in the fall. 

When: Sunday, October 19, 10 am to 1 pm

Mission Bayfest

The festival will feature over 30 musical acts, mostly in the reggae genre, performing on two stages. Headliners for Sunday include Rebelution and Pepper. Rebelution released its debut album, Courage to Grow, in 2007. They later earned a Grammy nomination with their 2016 album Falling into Place. More recently, the group released the album In The Moment in 2021. Pepper is an American reggae rock band formed in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, in 1997. Known for their “Kona dub-rock” style, they blend reggae, alternative rock, dub, and ska. The band has since released multiple studio albums, including No Shame (2006) and Local Motion (2019), which topped the Billboard Reggae Albums chart.
