Trump supporter calls out Scott Marks

Blackkklansman provided the opportunity

Diss not Donald Trump

Just reading the review of the blackkklansman (“BlacKkKlansman,” Movie Reviews). Real classy. Why do you have to diss the president? I think he’s doing a pretty good job.

So sad.

RE: "So sad." It's sad that so many think orange-head Is "pretty good." He is one of the worst presidents in the history of this country. That's fact, not opinion.

Why people are still cosigning Trump's delusions is beyond me.

I keep having this image for a dark comedy play about Trump. After all, his entire presidency has been a dark comedy of sorts. I can't ignore how much Trump is like an exboss of mine. When I hear what it's like working for Trump, it's exactly like it was with my exboss. Eerily so. (We used to joke there were writers in the walls. Sometimes we wanted to give them a raise. Other times we wanted to fire him. My ex-boss did epic-nonsensical things that bordered on the criminal on a daily basis. Well, he crossed the border a lot. I wrote our whole HR manual sexual harassment section based on the opposite of what he did all the time).

Back to the Trump play: I'm thinking, It's the eve of the special counsel releasing their findings. Trump has just had an "off with their heads" day where he fires his entire cabinet and strips security clearances for everyone on his enemies list. This makes dead U.S. Presidents roll over in their graves so hard they gather at the White House to put Trump on trial. Some of the dead presidents have to act as Trump's legal counsel. They choose up sides and who will be on the jury and who will preside as the judge and then they bring in the defendant. The charges are read and the trial begins. Trump is allowed to call character witnesses as long as they are dead. As a desperate measure, he fires his dead president defense team and brings in his dead mentor, Roy Cohn. The rub is that dead guys can't lie or defend lies. The dark comedy gold is Trump defending himself by throwing stones at U.S. history, albeit uninformed stones.

Anti-Trump sentiments notwithstanding, I'm not sure The Reader would be the right outlet for this meritorious project. What with the zombie angle, you'd be better off hitting up KPBS. ;)

I'm shocked that a Trump supporter would even bother reading a review of a Spike Lee joint. Let's just say the last five minutes of the picture inspired me. See the movie and then tell me I'm wrong. And Trump's doing a great job, alright. A great job of dividing the country. A great job of A great job of lying about banging a porn star while his wife was pregnant. C'mon, Mike! The guy received his Master's Degree in Pathological Lying. Take heart! You'll be happy to know that I (kind of) defend the A'Hole in Chief in my upcoming review of Michael Moore's latest tantrum.

So much of Hair Führer's shameless and endlessly grasping behavior reminds me of one of his biggest allies, the gambling mogul Sheldon Adelson. In particular, this exchange from a 2008 profile about Adelson in the New Yorker could have been written yesterday about 45:

Rice taped Adelson at one meeting when he was issuing orders. “About a month later, Sheldon came back and said, ‘You guys have done this all wrong, you didn’t follow my directions!’ ” Chudnofsky recalled. “Alan Rice said, ‘Stop for a second, Shel—I’m going to play a tape of the meeting for you.’ And Sheldon said the following: ‘What are you guys, crazy? Who are you gonna believe, me or the tape?’
