A season-high 35 sportfishing vessels hit the briny Sunday in spite of the small squall that rolled through town, churning it up a bit at the local beaches and lowering the water temp by nearly 5 degrees from 70 to 65 or so.

34 anglers aboard the Chubasco II 1/2 day morning run boated 6 barracuda, 32 calico bass, 49 rockfish, 7 sand bass, 1 sheephead, 1 sculpin, 1 lingcod, 1 halibut and 2 bonito. 105 calico bass were caught and released.

The Condor 1.5 day trip with 14 anglers at the rail reported 14 yellowtail and 15 yellowfin tuna caught.

33 anglers aboard the Pacific Queen 1.5 day run teamed up for 1 yellowtail and 9 yellowfin tuna.

Fishing off the local kelp, the Dolphin 1/2 day am run with 22 anglers on deck reported 39 rockfish, 7 calico bass and 4 barracuda kept, with 75 calico bass released. 45 anglers aboard their pm 1/2 day run caught 10 yellowtail, 1 halibut, 16 rockfish, 19 barracuda and 5 calico bass. 35 calico bass were released.

The Invicta 1.5 day run with 22 anglers aboard returned to the dock with 10 yellowfin tuna and 12 yellowtail in the hold.

30 anglers aboard the Legend 2 day trip caught 1 dorado, 36 yellowtail, 7 yellowfin tuna and 5 bluefin tuna.

The Sea Adventure 80 1.5 day trip with 20 anglers aboard reported just 2 bonito and 3 yellowtail caught.

25 anglers aboard the Top Gun 80 2.5 day trip boated 50 bonito, 45 yellowtail and limits of 125 calico bass and 250 rockfish,

The Malihini 3/4 day trip carrying 51 anglers at the rail reported 34 bonito, 1 sand bass and 61 yellowtail caught.

The Premier ran 42 anglers out to the Point Loma kelp for their 1/2 day morning trip and reported 1 sheephead, 43 rockfish and 5 calico bass caught. 36 anglers aboard their pm 1/2 day run boated 17 rockfish, 25 calico bass and 3 barracuda.

7 bluefin tuna were reported caught from the Blue Horizon with 8 anglers aboard for a 1 day trip.

Old Glory took 32 anglers out on a 1 day trip and reported only 6 yellowtail caught.

130 calico bass, 71 bonito, 40 yellowtail were caught by the 27 anglers aboard the Oceanside 95 1 day run.

22 anglers aboard the Electra 1/2 day am run boated 41 calico bass and 1 yellowtail. 35 of the calico bass were released.

The Sea Trek 3/4 run with 23 anglers at the rail returned to the dock with 1 rockfish, 12 bonito, 22 calico bass, 11 sand bass, 50 mackerel and 3 yellowtail in the gunnysacks.

El Capitan with 10 anglers aboard for a 2.5 day trip reported 16 yellowtail, 8 yellowfin tuna, 1 dorado, 10 rockfish, 21 calico bass and 10 bluefin tuna caught.

32 anglers aboard the New Lo-An 1.5 day trip boated 50 bluefin tuna and 4 yellowtail.

20 anglers aboard the Point Loma 3/4 day run boated 148 rockfish, 1 sheephead, 2 barracuda and 3 bonito. 17 calico bass were caught and released.

The Daily Double took 52 anglers out between their am and pm 1/2 day trips for a total catch of 2 sculpin, 57 rockfish, 9 calico bass and 1 barracuda. 40 calico bass were also caught and released.

37 anglers aboard the Mission Belle 3/4 day run boated 59 yellowtail and 32 bonito.

The New Seaforth 1/2 Day am run carrying 25 anglers reported 1 sheephead and 30 rockfish caught. 47 anglers aboard their pm 1/2 day run teamed up for 2 sculpin, 40 rockfish and 2 lingcod. 114 rockfish were caught by the 29 anglers aboard their twilight run.

3 anglers aboard the Alexes 1/2 day morning run caught 15 rockfish.

The San Diego 3/4 day run with 30 anglers at the rail reported 145 yellowtail caught. Very nice, just a handful short of limits!

20 anglers aboard the Cortez 1.5 day trip caught 2 bluefin tuna, 35 yellowtail and 1 yellowfin tuna.

The Tribute 1.5 day run with 33 anglers at the rail reported 19 yellowfin tuna and 45 yellowtail for the total catch.

34 anglers aboard the Sea Watch 1/2 day afternoon run saw 5 yellowtail, 14 rockfish, 5 calico bass and 8 barracuda hit the deck. Another 30 calico bass were caught and released.

17 anglers aboard the Pacific Voyager 2 day run boated 1 bluefin tuna, 5 yellowfin tuna and 132 yellowtail.

The Outer Limits 1 day run with 21 anglers aboard reported 10 bluefin tuna caught.

Just 2 yellowtail and 1 yellowfin tuna for the 27 anglers aboard the Eclipse 1.5 day trip. 2 yellowtail were also caught and released.

The Endeavor 1 day run with 20 anglers aboard reported 28 bluefin tuna caught.
