Fast Break returns for third year

The San Diego Reader’s Fast Break is back for the 2010-11 season. For the third year in a row, the Fast Break will provide in-depth coverage of high school basketball from throughout San Diego.

Coverage starts this week with the first Top 10 poll of the season and holiday tournaments, and will run through the state playoffs in March. The blog is located at www.sdreader.com/basketball.

What to Look For

Video Highlights

If the Fast Break is at a game the camera is rolling, and will add to the highlight collection in 2010-11. The Fast Break’s YouTube channel has 167 videos from the past two seasons.

Rankings

Each Sunday, the Fast Break will post its weekly Top 10. Defending state champion Lincoln is No. 1 in the first poll.

Game Stories

Coverage of 2-3 games each week with videos and photos.

Feature/Opinion Pieces

Stories highlighting unique teams, players and happenings from throughout the San Diego Section.

Best Pics

At the beginning of each month, the Fast Break will feature its five best photos from the previous month. All of the photos can be found in the Fast Break gallery.
