Japan's 12.7% Quarterly Economic Plunge Stuns World
Can you spell Depression? This is shocking! The most amazing thing about this life ruining Crash is the speed of it all. Trillions and Trillions lost in one year. Now with the population aging and no jobs, what in the World are people going to do? I see massive suicides coming. So sad.— February 20, 2009 7:55 p.m.
Kodak Down 5%. Brandes Takes Another Hit
Don, tell me how this place can stay in business? Wouldn;t pension fund managers be doing due diligence and fire them for someone with better numbers? If you saw a list of their portfolio, you would be shocked. It is littered with absolute junk. I think they should do a video online explaining themselves. To think they go show off the wealth at multi-million dollar halloween bashes makes someone who has lost 75% of their money feel like the biggest SUCKER in loli-pop history!— February 20, 2009 7:47 p.m.
Kodak Down 5%. Brandes Takes Another Hit
Reply to #3 - The biggest downfall with their approach is failure to incorporate the macroeconomic picture. They are so convinced that what happens in the "market" does not matter that in an economy like this, they get crushed. Thing is that nobody has ever went through something like this unless you are in your 90s.— February 20, 2009 1:02 p.m.
Kodak Down 5%. Brandes Takes Another Hit
They have to be down to $40 Billion or less now. They also own stakes in BAC, C, WFC, MU, MOT, XRX etc etc etc...look at the new 10 year low list and they most likely not only own it but have a huge stake at prices 10X higher. I can pay no fees and lose this kind of money.— February 20, 2009 11:27 a.m.
List of Madoff Investors Now Public. Some San Diegans Tell Their Tales of Woe
Hell, Brandes US Value is down 75% now. Only a little more to go and we have our very own Madoff. This totally sucks! Value Investing is completely dead. Money management is dead. Equity investing is dead. The U.S. is dead. We are watching the collapse of the United States. Have you noticed that states are filing to become free of the U.S. Govt and their own nation?— February 17, 2009 8:15 p.m.

Brandes Investment Partners Still Underperforming Sharply, Losing Clients
They continue to get clobbered. International is down another 13% plus so far in 2009. When will the bleeding stop?— February 16, 2009 6:28 p.m.
L.A. Times Says Chargers Closer to Moving North. Fabiani Suggests It's True
Reply to #13 - The Browns actually rank high in sports products sold (team gear etc). They are always in the top 5. Cleveland is a dying city but it's support for the Football team is incredibly high given how bad they have been. It is a great place to have a franchise.— January 28, 2009 2:38 p.m.
L.A. Times Says Chargers Closer to Moving North. Fabiani Suggests It's True
Reply to #10 - How can you say Cleveland is a bad location for a team when they sell out every game?— January 28, 2009 12:03 p.m.
San Diego Home Prices Down 38 Percent from Peak Three Years Ago
More plunge to come. Encinitas and Carlsbad has insane amounts of option rate ARMs that are going to explode in 2010-2012. Those areas could see 50% drops.— January 27, 2009 1:31 p.m.
