BREAKING NEWS BLOG -- Michael Jackson and Farrah Die
I have to comment on Michael Jackson's death. His passing is huge. Celebrities die all the time, but this is different. 1. It was totally unexpected. 2. He was arguably the most talented artist of the last century (Yes, including Elvis). 3. It closes the door on the weird chapter of his life. Everyone (mostly) whether they admit it or not, loved his music. It was a musical foundation to more than one generation. Now, people can get nostalgic and focus on his music instead of on him as a very flawed individual. I predict that his future music sales will surpass those when he was alive. A sampling of San Diego's vanity license plates
I've seen a couple of cases where someone added punctuation or symbols to their personalized plates with a marker or stickers. I wonder how often the cops let that slide. Also, I'm sure that somewhere out there, there's a Van Halen fan with "OU812" on their plate. If you see them, stay far away, they are obviously mentally unstable.— March 3, 2009 5:25 p.m.
