New Details Released In Brittany Killgore Investigation
Whatever the story was here with the victim and her three killers is probably fodder for a movie-of-the-week. It's a freakshow for sure.— August 30, 2012 7:28 p.m.
Eye gnat infestations in south Escondido – end of local organic food farming?
So the resolution according to the county of San Diego is to force organic farmers to use pesticides for a little annoying bug problem? LMAO. Escondido residents complaining about this need to take a trip back east to Floriduh so they can experience what a **real** flying insect problem looks and feels like.— August 8, 2012 4:44 p.m.
Screw U: The Next Bubble May Be Higher Education
The average student loan debt is $23 to $27K? Is that for a college education in the United States? Where was the stat pulled from? Newsflash: even at a generic state school, you're looking down the barrel of $80k for a Bachelor's degree.— August 3, 2012 6:33 p.m.
Will Brain Damage Kill Football?
Sorry, I'm not seeing the end of the NFL or the military. The fundamental shifting of the collective mindset of a nation will not simply fall by the wayside because of this latest info. There is far too much $$$$$$$$$$ involved for either to go the way of the dodo. And as for Big Tobacco, none of them have gone out of business despite the "crippling" curtailing of the smoking habit by Americans. They're still making mountains of money. Further, fear of CTE may hold back a few from playing football or joining the military, but it's not going to stop participation en masse. For one, football is far too ingrained and far too lucrative. For two, the mliltary is fast becoming the only way for working class ppl to go to college.— June 13, 2012 4:41 p.m.
Woman beaten on 4th and Washington
I liked the part about intercepting the assailant from further attacking the woman in the street. Should have elaborated on all that further. Otherwise, nice writing!— June 7, 2012 4:41 p.m.
