My Thoughts on Michael Douglas and Michael Vick
it was done out of love!— September 2, 2009 8:34 p.m.
My Thoughts on Michael Douglas and Michael Vick
Being a former Philadelphian and knowing plenty of Eagles' fans, I have to say there are many not happy in the City of Brotherly Love. I keep hearing how his # jersey is being the most sold and people are supporting him. Well, the majority I know aren't. I definitely don't think he should have been allowed back in the NFL. Yes, all people deserve second chances but ya know what. Maybe he should start from scratch and take up another profession. I blame the NFL. They should not have allowed him back in. And second, I blame the Eagles. Philadelphia fans have enough of a reputation that is blown out-of-portion. They didn't need this on top of it. The back of his jersey should "Con vick". All I have to do is see photos of the beaten dogs as a result of his dog fighting and I'll know I'll never change my view on this. He also has no remorse. Whatever he says is just PR and nothing else. Go Cowboys!— September 1, 2009 8:27 p.m.
Oscar Nominations
At least it's just in that one category. As it is now, those award ceremonies are dragged out on TV. Could you imagine - if it were 10 nominations in every category, the show would never end!— June 29, 2009 10:02 p.m.
Oscar Nominations
Ten seems like a bit much. The reason it's such a big deal to be nominated among 5 is the chances of getting nominated are slim and it's more competitive.— June 28, 2009 7:18 a.m.
Keep the Tip!
If a waiter/waitress takes my order and gets the order right, I'm thinking they did a great job. If they aren't entertaining people, that's okay with me. And if they aren't even smiling, maybe they are having a bad day. But I can understand being annoyed if there is a long wait to be served or if others who come in after me are served first. I can only think of one time where the service was so bad and I felt good by not leaving much of a tip. I can't even remember what our group left but I know it was not much if nothing at all. We were visiting Baltimore, Maryland and the restaurant was a little place not far from the Bay. We had to wait to get our order taken but then that didn't compare to what we had to go through for our food to finally arrive. It was so bad that I thought one of those hidden camera shows were on us and someone was going to pop out saying we've been punked! Getting up and leaving crossed our minds more than once but it was one of those situations where we figured we wasted that much time already, we should just stick it out and it couldn't possibly be much longer. Well it was. The excuse the waiter gave was "yes we're very busy" but truth be told, the place was not full to capacity. And to make matters worse, the waiter looked like he belonged in the mob and would wack us if we got lippy. So we all agreed.. No tip for you!— June 28, 2009 7:07 a.m.
The Dog Blog -- A Walk in the Park
Ok Josh, I have to stick up for the cute fuzzy butt lickers! Cats do have that selfish reputation, this is true. But I've heard some stories of cats saving owners from danger also. I just don't think people hear about it much.— June 25, 2009 9:56 p.m.
BREAKING NEWS BLOG -- Michael Jackson and Farrah Die
I was just talking to someone at work today after we heard Farrah died and she said "Who's next? It usually comes in 3's" because Ed McMahon also passed away. Then I got home and heard MJ died. It's hard to believe he's gone. Despite what people think of his life, he still is an icon no matter what. I was thinking it sure would be something if he never did the things the majority of people accused him of (myself included) based on his odd behavior. What if he really was just a sad soul that never fit in and only related to nonjudgmental children. Maybe that really was what it was all about. Very sad.— June 25, 2009 9:49 p.m.

The Dog Blog -- A Walk in the Park
I heard a great local news story where I live the other day. A dog saved a family in their home. The dog was actually visiting and staying with this family when it kept barking as everyone in the house was asleep. This dog was known not to be a barker so he got their attention. It turns out there was an electrical fire just starting in the attic and he smelled the smoke. The dog lead the people upstairs where they caught it before it got out of hand. It was so nice to hear a heart-warming news story for a change.— June 24, 2009 3:58 a.m.
