Mayor to take off two weeks for therapy
Bob just needs to recharge his batteries--I'm sure the vacation will do wonders for him.— July 26, 2013 2:21 p.m.
Mayor to take off two weeks for therapy
Don: I doubt DeMaio will become mayor, no matter how much backing he would get from Manchester.— July 26, 2013 2:20 p.m.
San Diego hotel business lagging coast rivals
Don: You speak of slashing prices--notice that Comic-Con itself has received a break on their rent since 2009. This year, Comic-Con should have paid $479535 but got a discount of $290610, ending paying only $188925. It gets even better (for them) the next 3 years, paying a flat rate of $150k for each of the next 3 years. (Thanks to the U-T, July 17th, for those numbers) I would assume that the convention center won't be expanded by 2017 (at least I hope not), so I would assume to keep Comic-Con here, they will probably end up getting free rent be then.— July 26, 2013 9:33 a.m.
Laura Fink's campaign role with Todd Gloria
Don: So then this will probably go down as the biggest political scheme ever in San Diego politics, at least in your eyes. Had Filner not done these things, it's doubtful that any of this would be happening. But it was all planned. (allegedly) While I respect your opinion on most matters, this is one you and I will never agree upon.— July 26, 2013 9:21 a.m.
Filner may be the winner in last two accusations
4 more women today on KPBS spoke out, one of which was Ronne Froman.— July 25, 2013 5:55 p.m.
Laura Fink's campaign role with Todd Gloria
4 more women spoke of Filner's transgressions tonight on KPBS--one of them Ronne Froman--who I'm sure is also just looking for 15 minutes of fame...— July 25, 2013 5:53 p.m.
Allied Gardens hosts speech by U-T chief John Lynch
Interesting that he didn't say who should PAY for this new stadium.— July 25, 2013 2:05 p.m.
BofA requests larger signage for downtown headquarters
You would think they could just bring someone in to write "B of A" in chalk real big on the sides of the building.— July 25, 2013 2 p.m.
Questions about McCormack Jackson suit
Not many, if any, are laughing.— July 24, 2013 4:29 p.m.
Questions about McCormack Jackson suit
Don: There may not be three lawsuits, but three women have now come forward, and even if you claim the score is 2-1, that one means so much more than the other two. I also doubt they will be the only three, and I also doubt there will be only one lawsuit against Filner and the city.— July 24, 2013 4:28 p.m.
