North Park locals patrol the neighborhood
I moved out of North Park recently for this very reason. I lived near the Water Tower and the park there turned into a homeless camp. Homeless would throw trash on people's lawns, defecate on their properties and steal your stuff. My last year I lived there, we had 5 packages stolen off our front porch. My wife and I had to start having everything delivered to our work places which is pretty sad. We also had tweakers walking through the neighborhood all the time and yelling at people. As San Diego becomes more Democratic and hence more welcoming of homeless people it is only going to get worse. San Francisco and LA have coddled homeless people which has led to a massive increase in homelessness and all the progressive transplants are now electing people who intend to make the same exact mistakes here in San Diego. It's hard to watch.— April 11, 2019 5:30 p.m.
Union-Tribune's chief photographer heads for the Times
What should really bother you is how the editorials under new leadership are described as "news".— April 11, 2019 5:07 p.m.

Union-Tribune online numbers plunge 22.44 percent
Not surprising that the UT numbers have slumped. Now all we get is copied articles from the LA Times and more coverage on Mexico than San Diego. Most of the articles are just bits of propaganda for the Democratic party. Very little "news". I hope he sells it to someone who actually cares about this region. LA sucks and so does the LA Times.— April 11, 2019 4:53 p.m.
