Observations From the Drive-In
We went there this past summer and saw TREK and TRANSFORMERS 2. We had a great time, my wife and kids and I. Next time we will go prepared with a bucket or two of chicken and our own drinks. The only complaint? Couldn't the screen be a bit bigger? Other than that I loved the party atmosphere before the movie started. Great fun for all, and DEFINATELY worth the price of admission.— November 22, 2009 6:18 p.m.
SEC Busts Somali Promising 5% a Month
If they can make quick bucks like this, why can't I. To hell with this American education LOL!!! I need some Pirate education!!!— November 20, 2009 7:43 p.m.
the TWILITE thingy
#11 Thanks for that link. Didn't they also attack the Harry Potter movies? I don't think you need to be worried about these TWILITE movies. I liken them to John Hughes movies, but with vampires. I just want to know what girls find appealing about this Edward fellow. He looks like Matt Dillon without any blood in his veins.— November 20, 2009 7:41 p.m.
The Biggest Loser. Is it Shawne Merriman, Levi, or Palin?
I have read enough of that election to know that Bush Sr, Kemp and the other moderates considered Reagan a right-wing whacko. Palin is using his blue-print, she has even said as much. I am not saying she will win, or even get the nomination. What I am saying is counting her out ranks up there with saying the Titanic couldn't sink. The history of politcs is full of surprises. Nothing is a given. And Obama is no shoe in. His erosion from the middle, as reported yesterday by CNN and today by GALLOP should be a reason to worry. And he better get healthcare done, and decide what he wants from the war. Because the Democrats, if history holds, will lose the Senate. Once that happens, the Republicans will cage his 'vision'.— November 20, 2009 4:20 p.m.
The Biggest Loser. Is it Shawne Merriman, Levi, or Palin?
And who gets to decide what is good and isn't good music/tv/movies/actors/actresses/songs/singers/groups/plays? Thats why I never get people who go around judging what other people like, as if it's their mission. I mean, gee, I got Pat Robertson on one end telling me to put down the porn. I got Al Gore telling me to give my dog/cats pills that will lesson the effect of their farts on the ozone and I have Pistolepete telling me what is and isn't good music. I like what I like, you like what you like. Here is what I like; Barry Manilow, I like the guy. I like shows like American Idol and Hell's Kitchen. I like reading comic books, with heros like Superman and Batman. I like looking at porn with women in it. I like watching MASH and I like watching The Brady Bunch. My favorite singer is ANDY WILLIAMS. I think the Beatles are over-rated and the Stones/Who are under-rated. I think Frank Sinatra is over-rated and Mel Torme is under-rated. I think South Part is over-rated, I think Batman and the Brave and the Bold is under-rated. I think Bob Marley is uber over-rated, I think Ernest Borgnine is under-rated. But if you're someone who totally disagrees with me, then fine, don't smell my farts. I even think they smell good too.— November 20, 2009 2:05 p.m.
the TWILITE thingy
That girl was on Conan a couple nights back. She is actually pretty attractive, but very pale. And her choice of wardrobe was awful. As for not understanding my daughter? That has always been, and always will be, the truth. But I can't help it!!! I grew up with three sisters, so I know all about crazy teenaged girls. These newer models, these modern teengirls, are in a league of their own!— November 20, 2009 12:57 p.m.

As for the media playing it up? Just watch THE VIEW. Just watch CONAN every night. Your Blogs too. Im on the left and even I can see it.— November 20, 2009 11:16 a.m.
The Biggest Loser. Is it Shawne Merriman, Levi, or Palin?
Sorry Josh, but that is just too simplistic of an answer. Obviously her words are appealing to 'someone'. Her book is selling, she gets big ratings on Oprah. The more the media screems she's an idiot, the more it helps her cause. I think the media should just let her open her mouth and look like an idiot without pointing it out when they get their chance. Just look at the cable news wars. Its not even funny. FOX is beating the tar out of MSNBC/CNN combined. Its not even close. If the media seems to be going after her then all it does is pushes those so called 'independents' towards Fox. And Bush fed on this in 2004, so does Hannity and his people. CNN is doing a good job by appearing to position its self between MSNBC (very left leaning) and FOX (way over there on the right). CNN has been very restrained with its coverage of Palin, which is what ABC-CBS and NBC should do. Make her into another so called 'media martyr', like Reagan claimed to be, Bush Jr claimed to be, and well...you see my point. Let her words do the work for her.— November 20, 2009 11:15 a.m.

The Biggest Loser. Is it Shawne Merriman, Levi, or Palin?
Yes I know Ford pardoned Nixon. The theory is that Ford's pardon was what cost Ford his re-election. Clinton, and others like Kissenger, now believe it was Reagan's attacks from the right, when Ford ran for election, that cost Ford his job. If the media over plays this 'Palin is an idiot' mantra, as they did with Bush in 2000 and Reagen in 1980, all it does is riles up the 'grass roots' of the Republican party. And don't forget that congress is at very low approval ratings as much as the Republicans are. All it takes is for Palin, or whom ever, to capture the so called "Blue Dog Democrats" or "Reagan Democrats" to upset Obama. When BUSH won re-election in 2004, it was the first time since his father beat Dukakis that the winner won more than 51% of the votes. Clinton never did, Bush won in court. So from 1988 to 2004, 16 years, the Presidency of this nation was not won with a so called "51%" majority, until Bush 2004. This means that this country is split right down the middle. Obama won by 7 %. That 7%, mainly from Independents, and right-ringers who did't care for McCain, is what got Obama elected. And CNN/CBS polls are showing erosion there. Next year's 2010 election season will be very interesting. The sitting President, no matter how popular he is in the middle of his first term (Reagan/Clinton/Bush jr) they always lose ground in congress during the mid-term (2010) election cycle. If the Democrats lose control of the Senate, and 10% of the house seats up for grabs, Obama isn't going to get much done after that. Simply because the Republicans will dog him all the way until 2012, as they did Bush Jr from 2002 on, and as the Republicans did to Clinton from 1994 (Contract with America) on. Message here? Dont aggitate the Republican base too much or you will get them out in droves. And that is bad for the Democrats. Always has been, always will.— November 20, 2009 6:45 a.m.
