He Knowingly Sold Defective Parts to Military; Gets Two Years
if the military kept better control of their inventory, incidents like this would not happen. most of the items sold that are defective are ( were) released as surplus scrap lots. the gov ( dod) sells tons of scrap items every month, much of which is still unused in orig packing. used items ( defective parts) are bought as scrap and re-package as new by unscrupulous dealers. its been going on for decades. this turkey ( Joel H. Potter) is just the tip of the iceberg. if there were a real investigation, there would be a lot of ass covering all the way up the supply chain. if the persons in the dod knew how to use their own system ( keep track of serial numbers) to see if an item was issued before, or sold as scrap it would save the tax payers billions.— June 29, 2010 8:23 a.m.
