Free parking returns to Horton Plaza!

Scooter it is! I hope Horton Plaza now sees a jump in sales and gets the message. Right now, the only thing the tourists come away with from HP is a certain mystified feeling; the result of never truly knowing what floor they were on or how they got there and the 20 minutes it took them to find their car. You know they're in the zone when you see them walking around mumbling "fruit or vegetable?"

International military bribery scheme uncovered

A U.S. Navy Commander and a Naval Criminal Investigative Service agent-- what a disgrace. The entire U.S. Navy should hang their heads in shame for the things that go on in Singapore as it is primarily Navy money that turns the wheels there. I cannot think of another country that offers a lower level of human behavior than Singapore.

Driver took the blame for cops shooting his passenger

This is just another case of the police going rabid and attacking an unarmed civilian. The guy was backing out of the driveway when two police cars, with their lights turned off, came up behind him. The cops claimed this was how the guy attacked them--obviously bogus--and then they let go with 27 rounds into the passenger side? Who are they trying to hit? The driver who they claimed was attacking them? They why not shoot at the driver? Instead, they shoot at a woman who happened to be with him (also unarmed btw). The poor sap realized the cops were contriving the whole story to protect their insane behavior, and probably realized the quickest way out of prison was to plea to a lesser charge. I think this happens a lot and there are a lot of innocent people in prison as a result of the criminal behavior of the police. They are the most dangerous element in our society now and really need to be reined in.

Sheriff's Department Spokesman insists communication was impossible with Mt. Helix shooter

Let's face it; authorities are not going to allow someone to talk a distraught person down and deprive them of the chance to use their new toys and possibly kill somebody. Hell, do you have any idea how much they spent on these robots and gas bombs and all that lethal paraphernalia? There are plenty of people, but not many opportunities for our local law enforcement to operate like they are Kill Team 6. These guys are totally out of control.
