District Three Doppelgangers
There is no Stephen Davis in South Park, but there is a Todd Gloria desperate to pull any trick to get into public office. That's why intelligent and well educated adults prefer Stephen Whitburn. The attempt to distract voters away from Gloria's many debts to the insiders downtown won't work, no matter how many pseudonyms Gloria will use to try to fool people. Whether written by 2muchsense, kensington, or district3voter, or Stephen Davis of South Park, it's all bull****.— October 31, 2008 4:52 p.m.
District Three Doppelgangers
Why do you copy/paste your comments, Todd, masquerading as Stephen? Can't you write anything original, or is this yet another Halloween trick on the voters?— October 31, 2008 4:46 p.m.
Imitation is Flattering
Again, Todd, you are using a pseudonym. I've searched the Registrar's database, and there is not a single "Stephen Davis" registered to vote in South Park. You are hiding your identity. You've also stolen my name and copy/pasted the exact same slander as you write with your other pseudonyms. That is what disqualifies Todd Gloria for ANY public office. Complete disregard for the truth.— October 31, 2008 4:40 p.m.
Filner, Aguirre Say Sempra's $100,000 Gift to Lincoln Club Smacks of Attempt to Buy Election
It's dirty money not only for Goldsmith, but also for April Boling...see: http://www.sandiegoreader.com/weblogs/abnormal-he… The Lincoln Club has turned into a money laundering organization for right-wing politicians. It should be investigated for criminal violations of the elections laws.— October 31, 2008 1:53 p.m.
District Three Doppelgangers
Why are you still hiding behind an alias, Todd? The Housing Commission has done NOTHING to alleviate the affordable housing gap in San Diego. On the contrary, it was identified as being at "high risk for fraud" by the Independent Auditor. That's because it's run by political hacks like Gloria, who did nothing to earn the job but was appointed there by his insider friends. Again, we cannot trust Todd Gloria, just as we cannot trust you, Stephen "I Don't Exist" Davis, who also has been lately using my own user name here on the Reader to post slanders about Stephen Whitburn. However smug you may be about spreading your lies, your attempts to deceive won't work. Fred Williams Normal Heights— October 31, 2008 1:30 p.m.
Gloria's Hit Piece: "No Backroom Deals", Backfires
Admin, please remove the postings put up by someone using my name. This is really getting out of hand. Thank you, Fred Williams (with a capitol in my last name)— October 31, 2008 1:26 p.m.
District Three Doppelgangers
Stephen "Fake Name" Davis, thank you for your kindness. But you're still telling blatant and obvious lies. You're now exaggerating the amount of Whitburn's contributions to his OWN campaign, and you are ignoring the plain fact that Todd Gloria is beholden to the developers, lobbyists, and special interests. I don't believe Gloria can possibly do a good job under these circumstances. On the contrary, when he sends out people like you to use fake names including "Stephen Davis", AND "2muchsense", AND "kensington", AND "district3resident", AND post by hijacking MY OWN name, I know that he's a scumbag politician who will do ANYTHING to get power. Gloria's a sell-out, and it's disgusting. That's why I'm working as hard as I can to ensure this dishonest baby politician doesn't get into office. Your slanders and lies may work. That's the worst of it. You'll pat yourself on the back about how clever you were to fool so many people. But San Diego is still near bankruptcy, and you are part of the problem...NOT the solution. See you at Golden Hall. Let's see if you have the guts to walk up to me and speak face to face. If so, you better show me some identification, because you aren't in the voter rolls. Best, Fred— October 31, 2008 11:13 a.m.

Here Is Double Talk That Only a Corporate Welfare-Loving Jock Worshipper Could Disregard
Visduh has Wisduhm. Sports fans will never base their lives on rationality or a sense of proportion. By definition they are hopelessly in love with a game, and cannot understand the world around them without looking through the fun house prism of sportsdom. They listen to sports radio, only read the sports page, and spend their freetime watching sports on television. Everything else that happens around them is a blur. Those of us who are adult enough to recognize that professional sports is merely an entertaining diversion must assert control. We've had enough fun and games, and now we're in deep financial trouble. When they blather on about how sports is the basis of our economic salvation, we must either ignore them or smack them upside the head until they shut up. Capitulating to knuckle-dragging sports fans has been the shoddy history of this city, but by electing leaders with smarts and integrity we can avoid the mistakes of the past. That means re-electing Mike Aguirre as City Attorney.— October 31, 2008 5:50 a.m.
San Diego Lead Indicators Plunge from Year Ago; All Local Components Down
According to Nassim Taleb, we're at the very beginning of this and ought to be planning for a long haul up a steep path with sharp crevasses on either side. I concur. This is not a correction or a typical cyclical recession. This is paying off the debts we've collected over two generations of shoddy political leadership that told us what we wanted to hear rather than the truth. Fortunately, times like this can yield great opportunities for those who are flexible and pragmatic rather than ideologically driven. No matter what, our assumptions must be changed now that they've been proven wrong.— October 31, 2008 5:44 a.m.
