I would like to speak to your little gang on this thread, refriedgringo. I post on threads, speak my piece, and take my lumps. If your secret correspondents are too cowardly to speak for themselves on the forum, fine. But the fact that they manipulate you to do their dirty work is despicable. My guess that some of the people who are doing this are the same people who attempted to control me in the same way, which is why I broke off contact with them. I am no one's tool. Admin, I find this conduct completely objectionable and outrageous. What refriedgringo is threatening to do is little short of blackmail, and smacks of Internet stalking, and is certainly controlling conduct and bullying. Grasca has done nothing on this thread beyond respond to charges that her vote on the alcohol ban was somehow corrupted and politically influenced, charges which if I were her I would seek legal counsel to bring a lawsuit on defamation of character. Please tell refriedgringo that his idea of himself as Forum God has gone too far. Wow, a lot here to digest. As to the screenplay, I mean, without context, it's hard to judge, but I am sorry you were beaten to it, although it does sound like only the names are the same, nothing similar in the material. I haven't seen it, nor intend to, not my type of movie, but if you do, it would be interesting to know your thoughts. As to the child, you didn't ask for my advice, and take it for what it's worth, but two things, you might want to talk to the foster mother about the child's behavior, seeing as she sees her daily, she might be able to give you a more truthful picture than Social Services ever can or will. The other bit would be to save your worrying until you need it. Regardless of what you have found out, little or nothing may come to pass, in that case you are worrying needlessly, or it all may be too much, in that case all your worry now won't help you later, you will just have to deal with it in whatever ways you have to deal with it. My guess is similar to yours, that sometimes all a troubled child needs is a stable home and parents that won't give up on her. It won't be easy. I had three foster children, a brother and two sisters, for three years and it was rough; I took the three because I didn't want them to be apart since they were all they had. I could have done a better job, still I did a good enough job that their social worker wanted me to adopt them, but when their mother was capable of taking them back, back they went. Now I am getting context for the third section, the part of the story we had been hearing about and following before. Great stuff. Looking forward to reading more. :)— April 16, 2010 5:31 p.m.
