Rough road ahead for solar adopters
Investor owned utilities are all about making money as in profit for the shareholders. Ratepayer owned utilities are the only way to go. As for solar one should be very cautious. Not everyone qualifies for the "30%" tax credit and the financing costs may outweigh the savings. Those who sell solar systems are in the business of sales more than installation and service. Nothing is ever "as seen on TV". Buyer beware.— April 5, 2018 8:14 a.m.
Clairemont braces for homeless housing
I am all for helping those who want to get off drugs/alcohol and want to become contributing members of society. I also believe that those who are mentally ill should be institutionalized and treated. The rest are bums. They are living "ACLU" free. They are like stray dogs, the more you do for them the more you get. They are worthless human trash.— April 5, 2018 7:23 a.m.
Dog lunges at librarian
Ernie Dronenberg is still around? A fire plug would be better the ole Ernie. I'll vote for anyone but Ernie.— April 3, 2018 7:39 a.m.
The wild west is back in San Diego
Yesterday I saw the first ofo bike in my neighborhood. It was parked in front of the grocery store. Today the bike was behind the grocery store with a missing tire and tube. I don't see how any of these dockless bike companies can make a profit given the vandalism and parts theft. They will soon be gone.— April 3, 2018 7:37 a.m.
The wild west is back in San Diego
It sounds incredibly naive to think that "free" ofo bikes would only be used by responsible environmentally conscious riders. The ofo bikes will soon not be free if there are any left.— April 1, 2018 9:13 a.m.
Talk radio Kevin Kline has Coronado Bridge problem
Sounds like it is time to roll a few rocks over and see what crawls out.— April 1, 2018 9:07 a.m.
Just another night in Gaslamp
What is long and green and has an ass on each end? A St. Patrick's Day Parade— March 31, 2018 9:07 a.m.
Talk radio Kevin Kline has Coronado Bridge problem
It looks like Kevin Klein was found on skid row. San Diego doesn't need this clown and the Padres should dump Entercom. Entercom sounds like a 2nd rate operation.— March 31, 2018 9:06 a.m.
Don't take on Delaware North
Follow the money.— March 31, 2018 9:01 a.m.
Trial begins for Oceanside woman who drove with body in her car
You gotta give the defense attorney credit if he can sell "she wasn't drunk she was asleep" defense to a jury. She was driving with a BAC three times the legal limit. That she stayed up all night and was tired is of no consequence. Of course one can never underestimate the stupidity of a jury.— March 31, 2018 8:59 a.m.
