San Diego third best recreation city
To clarify I can watch "any movie" that has been released to be shown on cable. No I can not watch the latest release shown only in theaters. In most cases the movie comes available (free or pay) in a matter of weeks. I don't miss the standing-in-line to over pay to watch a movie "just released"— July 8, 2018 6:06 a.m.
San Diego third best recreation city
Back in the day . . . . . . . I had a huge 24" TV with limited programming now I have a 54" TV where I can watch any movie I want to for as many times as I want to and I go to my snack bar (kitchen) without missing any part of the movie. I can also go to the restroom without having to share it with anyone. I have not gone to a movie theater in years. I don't miss the "talkers" or the run amok children or having to sit behind some lug with a head the size of Pluto and has ears the size of a sailing ship.— July 6, 2018 6:24 a.m.
ALDI's sixth San Diego County store
Been there done that. Visduh is right that Aldi is doing some things right but I find that Grocery Outlet is a much better shopping experience.— July 6, 2018 6:16 a.m.
UPDATED Dave Shelly and Chainsaw looking for a new radio home.
Who cares? Just another self absorbed group of egomaniacs pandering to the less-than-mentally-sharp radio audience. No loss.— July 6, 2018 6:14 a.m.
Edison, SDG&E, lies, and double dealing
IID (Imperial Irrigation District) provides electricity to the eastern half of the Coachella Valley while SCE (Southern California Electric) provides electricity to the western half. SCE has tiered rates with high rates. During the "shoulder months" when it can get over 100 degrees, the bill for a 1500 sq ft home can run $800 a month. IID has one rate, no tiers, no "summer rates" etc. The same house in the IID area would be $200.— July 5, 2018 6:13 a.m.
Edison, SDG&E, lies, and double dealing
For profit utilities do not consider the customer that they fleece constituencies. All utilities should be ratepayer owned. Compare IID to SCE et al.— July 4, 2018 6:46 a.m.
When San Diego fat cats run out of cash
Money talks and the rest of us walk. Follow the money and you will find those who own and operate the politician. All politicians should be considered corrupt unless proven otherwise.— July 4, 2018 6:42 a.m.
The fight from the bottom
Sounds like "inside baseball".— July 2, 2018 6:36 a.m.
Angry PB residents don’t like mayor’s plan
The residents should ban together and sue the city for failure to enforce the zoning laws and for failure to enforce quality of life regulations. I'll be there is a class action suit in there somewhere and a lawyer ready, able and willing to sue the city.— June 30, 2018 11:57 a.m.
The fight from the bottom
Who cares? Sounds like Entercom Communications made some stupid decisions and now are reaping what they sow. Two sports stations is one two many but I hope they both make it as it would be sad to see people lose their jobs. Maybe Entercom would have better luck bringing back KSON.— June 30, 2018 11:55 a.m.
