The Field of Dreamz Festival bill is headlined by local ska-flavored pop-punkers Slightly Stoopid, who played their first paid gig in 1994 at Soma. Slightly Stoopid recently premiered a new music video for “The Upside Down” featuring guests B-Real and Chali 2na. Co-headliners Sublime regrouped last year with occasional San Diegan Jakob Nowell (Jakob’s Castle) replacing his late father Bradley Nowell as the band’s frontman. Pepper, who moved to San Diego county from Hawaii in 1999, landed on top of Billboard's Reggae Chart with their 8th studio album, Local Motion. Also appearing will be the guitar-based Band Of Gringos, all born and raised in Ocean Beach, although they’re quick to point out “We’re not a reggae band like 95 percent of the bands that come out of OB…transcending generations is our goal.” Boostive is known for blending Afrobeat, hip-hop, world music, and ambient electronic music, and the bill includes Denm, Z-Trip, Stephen Marley, and the Elovaters.
