Historic Districts Lecture

From main streets to architecturally significant neighborhoods, historic districts help communities preserve character, foster civic pride, and encourage stewardship through laws like the Mills Act and the California Historical Building Code. This lecture will highlight Coronado’s historic preservation program, including how to create historic districts, how property owners can benefit from designation, and what recent updates to the municipal code mean for Coronado’s future. 

When: Thursday, November 13, 5:30 p to 7 pm

Friday | 14

Marinelli Brothers Circus 

The new sister unit of Circus Vargas offers an experience for all ages. Audiences can enjoy an intimate performance for approximately two hours. Acts include flying trapeze, tramp wall acts, a “wheel of danger,” aerialists, acrobats, and clown antics.

San Diego Made Holiday Market

This family-friendly holiday shopping festival will showcase over 125 curated local makers showcasing the best of San Diego’s creative community. Shop handmade goods and enjoy an outdoor marketplace with live music, food trucks, craft cocktails and mocktails, and photo opportunities. Guests can explore interactive art installations, styled lounges, kids’ activities, and seasonal workshops.  [UPDATE: Due to this weekend's weather forecast, this event has been rescheduled for NOVEMBER 29 and 30. Hours will remain the same.]

Spencer Crandall 

Spencer Crandall is a Nashville-based country pop singer-songwriter known for hits like “My Person” and albums such as Western and the recent Changed Man. He gained traction as an independent artist through social media platforms and has performed at the Grand Ole Opry. Born in 1994 in Denver, Crandall initially pursued a college football career. A career-ending shoulder injury led him to discover his passion for music, and he began posting original songs and covers online, quickly building a large fanbase.

Mozart Wine Pairing Series

Wines are poured and commentary is provided before each musical work, setting the stage for a multi-sensory experience. Presented by Jean-Charles Boisett Wineries, this year’s series features four of America’s leading concertmasters: Jun Iwasaki of the Kansas City Symphony, Nurit Bar-Josef of the National Symphony, Nathan Cole of the Boston Symphony, and Frank Huang of the New York Philharmonic. The event begins with an open hors d’oeuvres before audiences are seated for an intimate concert and tasting. Each piece on the program is paired with curated wines, chosen to mirror the style and emotion of the music.

When: Sunday, November 16, 5 pm to 7 pm
