Ahn’s posts have gone viral on Instagram and TikTok as she records her experiences of living with her Korean immigrant parents. She has been featured on NBC News, ABC News, Yahoo News, and Good Morning America. Nam Soon Ahn, her mother, is a former restaurateur whose culinary wisdom forms the foundation of Ahn’s book, Umma: A Korean Mom’s Kitchen Wisdom and 100 Family Recipes.

Nocturnal San Diego scenes are the subjects of “Night Light,” an exhibit that will feature fine art images by Philipp Scholz Rittermann and Marshall Williams. Rittermann and Williams are both established San Diego artists, commercial photographers, and teachers, whose works have been shown nationally and internationally. Rittermann will display “Shipyard Nocturnes,” consisting of images he shot of the construction of the oil tanker Exxon Valdez, which ran aground in 1989 in Alaska, spilling its load of crude oil. And Williams will display “Taco Stand Vernacular,” comprising photographs of San Diego’s streetside taco stands.

Enjoy entertainment such as the Soaring Eagles Native American Indian Cultural Dance Group, Polynesian Dancers, and Mariachi Victoria de San Diego. There will be local food vendors selling hot dogs, Filipino cuisine, tacos, boba, and ube treats. Kids can enjoy henna, face painters, and bounce houses.

Rock duo Dan Auerbach (guitar, vocals) and Patrick Carney (drums) began as an independent act, recording music in basements and self-producing their records, before they eventually emerged as one of the most popular garage rock artists during a second wave of the genre’s revival in the 2000s. The Black Keys are touring in 2025 with their “No Rain No Flowers” tour, including a spring leg in North America and a later European leg.
