Urethane
Urethane was formed during the 2020 pandemic shutdown by professional skateboarder and guitarist Steve Caballero (the Faction, Odd Man Out, Soda), with War Fever singer-guitarist Tim Fennelly (living in Carlsbad at the time), Skipjack bassist Chad Ruiz (from San Diego East County), and BombPops drummer Dylan Wade (then of Oceanside). Their debut album Chasing Horizons, released in 2021 via Cyber Tracks, was produced, engineered, and mixed by Cameron Webb (Motörhead, Megadeth, Alkaline Trio, NOFX, Pennywise). The album title comes from the song “Wyoming,” which bassist Chad Ruiz says is about giving up, running away, and starting over. The album track “Avalanches” features Toby Morse of H2O, and “Inheritance” includes Jim Lindberg of Pennywise. The City Heights bill includes Doc Hammer (named after one of the talents behind the TV cartoon show The Venture Brothers) and Endorphins, who make electronic 90s-style alt-pop music.

Cattle Decapitation
A press release for Cattle Decapitation says the band “brings forth the ideas of vegetarianism with the utmost brutal approach in expression, both musically and imagery. [Their] sound will bring elements of older death/grind, inbred with utterly impossible low vocals, while being stabbed by immense drumming.” Founded in 1996, the group is known for wearing masks made of beef jerky onstage, an apparent statement regarding the trivialization of animal remains for human consumption. Sample song titles include “Colon Blo,” “Constipation Camp,” “Roadkill Removal Technician,” and “Parasitic Infestation (Extracted Pus Mistaken for Yogurt, and Gargled).” Their most recent album Terrasite was released via their longtime label Metal Blade in 2023. Also appearing for this Linda Vista date will be Forth Worth, TX metal band Frozen Soul and Longview, TX death metal act Tribal Gaze.

Angry Samoans and Big Attitude
Founded in the late 1970s in Los Angeles, the punk icons known as Angry Samoans earned fame for their blend of 60s garage rock with punk's raw energy, creating short, sharp songs that often trashed societal norms, girlfriends, and pop culture figures like KROQ DJ Rodney Bingenheimer, leading to music industry blacklisting but forever securing their cult status. The current touring version of the band includes original drummer Bill Vockeroth alongside founding singer-guitarist “Metal” Mike Saunders. The Spring Valley event will be opened by Big Attitude, who recently released a split-single with Angry Samoans and are best known for their song “Sk8 Fast Die Punk.”
