So I'm waiting to be picked up outside my office in the midway district by a man I met with his girlfriend a few years ago at rancho la puerta in tecate, so we can head for the airport to pick up one of my favorite people/writers on earth, and he forgot me. So we straightened it out, got Cat checked in to her hotel, and they picked me up- we got the guided tour of sduc and headed to the Bali hai for lunchish.

My local friend had earlier invited one of his newer employees to join us- she Also a writer, rootie2 how bizarre is this?!!! I've told other friends I'd love to meet up with r2s and nan and sure enough - although by phone we said hi today. As r2s knows the mojitos were flowing and fortunately I got dropped off at old town to catch the coaster home after a wonderful last dark beer at Berta's- hey we had a half hour to kill.

I walk to work every day from old town into the midway area and for years I've thought hey I should go check out SAMs place. I wrote about the murals appearing and promoted the great job r2s did on that mual blog,

Small world- hope to meet sometime face to face my friend. Small world, oops time to get off the train,

Very small world, indeed--but then again, I seriously question whether there is anyone he doesn't know! It was nice speaking with you yesterday, TS, and look forward to meeting you in person. Now to grab that Nan--mayhaps even her sidekick DG and I'd call that a down right party--mojitos, dark brew, or coffee--won't matter a hoot with the likes of such a selection.
