It's vacation time. I wonder if I'll run during my vacation this year. It would appear to be easy but for some reason it is not, for me.
It could be the lack of a schedule it could be not knowing were to run, it could be any number of things but my training suffers on vacation.
I'm tempted to think, "Hey, it's vacation. Take a break." That's true. However, after taking a break I have to get back into it when vacation is over and that is never pleasant.
This year I'm in the Santa Cruz mountains surrounded by thick redwood forests. I'm going to try to change the way I think about running on vacation and see if it works.
How will I change what I'm thinking? Whenever I think about running I'm going to think, "I want to run."
We'll see how that works.
The scenery should help me as well.
